I have looked and looked to find someone else who is going through the same as me. I started vaping 2 weeks ago. For the first week I thought OMG this is soooo easy! Then it hit. Feeling down, unmotivated, tingling hands. I have had a few analogs and they just disgust me now and I really want to keep going. All the posts I keep reading is how easy people found it to switch without withdrawal symptoms. So I am kinda feeling a bit alone right now. I am vaping my face off and enjoy it I am absolutely committed to not smoking anymore but why can't I put a smile on my face, why does it sound so easy for everyone else? To make things worse my boyfriend starting vaping a week ago and he fine aswell!! HELP!!!!!

Hi :)

Is it easy?

I don't remember that bit... it was tough and I duel fuelled for a while. Also, using E-Lites didn't help.
In fact, using E-Lites almost ruined my life, as the withdrawal from nicotine was just terrible.

You've quit smoking though? maybe you should go for the long-term view. A few smokes isn't the end of the world.

You WILL get there though... just maybe not overnight. :)

Don't put too much pressure on yourself. I didn't completely stop smoking for the first 6 months. Not that I was buying a pack of cigarettes daily, I still cheated by bumming a cig every once in awhile. If you really want to quit smoking, it'll work.

What set-up are you using and how many mg's of nicotine are in your juice?

Not everyone magically takes to vaping at the beginning. I didn't, but now I've been contentedly vaping for 3 yrs. I started out both smoking AND vaping ... at first I was smoking 10 cigs/day (after smoking 1 1/2 packs for over 40 yrs) ... and I gradually cut back to no cigs/day, but it took me 4 mos. to do that. It kinda sounds like you need to increase your nic level. I started out at (gulp) 36 mg of nic. I'm assuming you have a good vape set-up?

What mg of nicotine are you vaping?

Unless we know what brand cigs he smoked, and how many a day, there is no way to "make up" a nicotine level for a new vaper.

I've over-nicked a bunch o people who were new and should not have been vaping more than 6mg or 12mg, becaue it made them sick and dizzy

It sounds like your " week three" hit early. I forget where on here I read it, but at three days, three weeks, and three months, people seem to hit struggles with withdraw sometimes. My three month withdraw hit early and I had a really hard time. Hang in there and keep vaping your face off! You can do this!

Have you heard of WTA? http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...-alkaloid-wta-now-available-aroma-ejuice.html

My 1st time at vaping was not successful because of the symptoms you have (and some others). With the addition of WTA, all my symptoms became manageable. I started out with a 50/50 mix with my regular nic liquid in July '12. I have been weaning myself off SLOWLY over the past 2 years and am now down to 10 ml WTA to every 50 ml of regular liquid. I have kept my mind and kept away from cigarettes. :)

ETA This is the place I get it at Whole Tobacco Alkaloid WTA Eliquid Ejuice. Use coupon ECF to get 10% off your order.

Very true, and when I did my 2nd quit this summer, I only got to 10 days before cravings started chasing me around constantly. My own solution was to add WTA, whole tobacco alkaloids, but the OP seems to be in the UK? And I still don't know if WTA is available there, or if aromaejuice.com or wholecig.com will ship to the UK.

But the WTA will provide the trace alkaloids, including the MAOIs, that are a big part of cigarette addiction. Anyone that just cannot shake off either the cravings or the emotional mayhem can probably benefit HUGELY by adding some WTA.

You're not the the only one, I have slipped before hence the low number in my ticker in my signature, and the rule of threes is interesting never heard it before. But closing in on 21 days I have thought about buying a pack here and there, but I know I will feel guilty about it and I would hate to rest my banner. Just stick with it you'll get there and like others have said if you slip don't beat yourself up.

WTA= Whole Tobacco Alkaloids PG= Propylene Glycol VG= Vegetable Glycerine

PG and VG are the main makeup of the juice we vape, WTA's I will leave to someone else since I have not tried or researched them much.

You are most certainly not alone. At about the 3-4 wk mark, I started feeling withdrawl symptoms. Obviously by vaping I wasn't withdrawling from nicotine, so I came to the conclusion my body was craving some of the thousands of other chemicals in cigarettes. I did relapse and smoke a pack of cigarettes, and found they were disgusting as well.

I've broadened my horizons by getting into rebuilding coils and improving the equipment I am using. If nothing else, it gave me something to distract my mind and keep my hands busy to get through the rough spots. I seem to have settled down a bit but am accepting the fact that this is not going to be as easy as I originally thought it would.

That said, I smoked for 28 years, so I should expect it wouldn't be easy. Hang in there. There are hundreds of testimonials of other people here who've been through similar experiences and who freely give of their time and have great advice.

Stephers, Good luck! Take the advice and blow it out your nose, that will help. I call it the "heebie-jeebies" when I want a cigarette. Usually, I am stressed or out of sorts. It still hits me sometimes and I haven't one in over 1,000 days. Do not feel you can't do it, you really, really can. You might try a higher mg, I just cut down to 18mg this summer! You are using a good set-up. Take longer slower draws and really fill your mouth, mine are sometimes 5 to 8 seconds, then slowly blow out your nose. ( it does not burn like cigs do.) If you still have problems, you might try a tobacco juice with either NET ( naturally extracted tobaccos) or TA ( tobacco absolute), you may just miss the taste of the tobaccos and these provide some elements that are missing from juice that has no tobacco flavor.. Any questions please Private Message (PM) me, after you get 5 or more posts, then you can PM people.

I'll just chime in and say it wasn't easy for me either. Beat myself up for 5 1/2 months because I couldn't completely quit smoking. Bumped up to 24mg and that did the trick, though it was still rough for a while. The 24mg was an overdose for me, dizzy and ringing ears, but was able to drop back down a month later. I smoked ultra lights. At least you have found ECF early on and that will help you a lot. Don't think you are the only one that has suffered. And don't kill yourself, the end goal is what is important. You can do it, it just takes some of us longer than others.
