On the back nine
I'm about 6 days off analogs and into vaping. I am still having uncomfortable symptoms and analog cravings. Is this normal after almost a week still? Anyone else experience this?

I don't really want to increase my nic mg, will my body eventually adjust?

I'm lucky. I had quit for three weeks before taking up vaping and only did so because I was ready to go back to smoking. Vaping has COMPLETELY replace smoking for me now.

17 days for me and I still get urges, Most of my urges are psychological though. For example, like the habit of going outside - I found that I enjoyed the 5 minutes breaks from the kids. Things like that. So now I go outside anyways when I need a breather and vape. The biggest physical symptom is the dang itching! Every time I had tried to quit in the past, I always went back to smoking to get relief from the itching that would come when I quit. I'm still getting the itching symptom so I don't think I'm getting as much nic with vaping, but it doesn't bother me in any other way, I just have to be mindful of my scratching, lol.

i smoked 2 1/2 + packs a day of light cig, first week i used 18mg nic (which seemed a little high but kept the cravings away) and so far so good. im 10 days ciggy free..bumped my nic down to 11 and havent had a craving yet. my only problem has been i keep going after the lighter on the table lol i keep catching myself picking it up, i guess out of habit. hang in there..this will work.. im still in shock i just dropped ciggys so quickly after trying so many different things. best of luck too you!!

I smoked for 1 1/2 weeks after I started vaping until I lit my last cigarette because it tasted nasty. Did not deny myself whenever I got the urge to smoke, just did it. I did not suffer any withdrawal symptoms and it was absolutely painless. Remember vaping is a thr or tobacco harm reduction meaning that you reduce your intake of cigarettes.

March 1st is my first anniversary of being 100% smoke free and have not had any urges whatsoever to light up a cigarette, and I believe it's because I did not looked upon vaping as an all or nothing issue.

don't get discouraged. sneak a few analogs if you need to get over the next hill. guilt is the greatest trigger out there. don't beat yourself up over it. also you have to realize. it takes three months for your body to purge the tobacco from your body. don't think there isn't a price to pay to get tobacco free. we paid a huge price already to become tobacco users. the road to freedom is paved with potholes. not including- sleep disorders, strange dreams, constipation, body aches, GI discomfort. but it's just like high school. it isn't forever. in three months you will feel reborn. also try switching from pg to vg, or vice versa. and hydrate to help flush toxins out.

Think of your gear as a NDD, which is a term I coined, or maybe I didn't, but I'm claiming it here.
NDD is what, you say?

Nicotine Delivery Device

Just like a cigarette, but without the 4000 other chemicals that you really don't need.
And the smoke and the smell, well, you already know about that.
There is other brain chemistry involved, as well.
How can a cigarette calm you down and also wake you up at different times?
It's all brain chemistry, receptors, and synapses.

Remember, you really don't NEED a cigarette.
You WANT one.

As far as not being satisfied, others have advised you to up your nic, and I agree.
The machine is a NDD.
Yours needs a tune up.
Get it running just right and you'll be smiling.

A month or two from now after you've settled in and found your sweet spot, you'll look back on all those cravings and stressing about cigarettes, and ask yourself, "What was I thinking?"

Your head is like a bad neighborhood, you shouldn't go in there alone".
We are here for you, and as I would hope, you'll be here for us.
You know, as soon as clear thinking and logic returns.

Welcome to the community. Lots of good people here.

You're in the same place I was... occasionally still am. I had the same smoking habits as you, about 1/2 pack a day of lights so when I started vaping I used low or no nicotine. I mean I didn't smoke *that* much.

And I was sort of okay, until there was a bit of emotional upheaval. I read a lot of stuff here and upped my nicotine to 12, that helped a lot. Vaping handled a lot of the ritual, hand/mouth stuff, but I guess my brain needed the nicotine. I do vape more than I smoked, but that's pretty common and I'm good with that.

Now (almost 2 months later) I'm doing fine. I'm back to the low (6 - 8) or no nic but have a couple of 12 juices... just in case.

I'm hoping you'll find bumping up will work. At the end of the day, you're not inhaling bad burning stuff and that counts for a lot.
