I lived in Durham from 1975-77. One of those winters was the one where the entire east coast got hit with major storms and freezing. There must have been about a foot of it where I was. There's nothing like being on snowy roads with people who, through no fault of their own, never get the chance to practice driving in the snow. Terrifying!
Jane, we have people who live up here, who don't know how to drive in the snow. Some years ago, I was driving down a snow and ice covered side street, when another car pulled into the street, like it was a summer day. I knew what was about to happen, so I stopped about 50 from him. Sure enough, he lost control of his car and did a few donuts, before he regained control of his car. Then he slowly drove past me, with a sheepish look on his face. lol

A foot of snow, Sonic? Ok, one foot of snow is on it's way to you. :thumb:

Good morning :)

So are y'all snowed in up there, Deej and Witch?

No snow :(

Need Jerry to send some snow down our way... no more than 3 feet, though. We want to take Blue out to play in it, but don't want to lose her! :p

We are, however, frozen. Does that count?

Pretty little icicles hanging from the wind chimes, pine needles, etc. Not big ones... about an inch long...

Icicles count. Unfortunately.

Good morning, y'all :)

Good morning, Peeps. Deej, you don't want snow, no one in their right, or even their left mind wants snow. We have icicles too, 4 foot long ones. When they finally fall, everyone had better duck, because they will penetrate a skull and slide right through the body.

An office building I once worked for had to tape off a huge section of the sidewalk, making us walk in the street, every time there was a thaw after a storm. Most buildings with sloping sides have spikes set at frequent intervals. Not this one. The snow and ice would sled off the building in 10x10 sheets and land on the sidewalk.

On a more cheerful note, a group of hedgehogs is called a "prickle." :D
