OMG lots o' snow for you folks! I thought we had it bad with sleet & ice Monday & leftovers Tue (and a couple of inches of snow this morning that melted away by noon or so). Schools were closed M & Tu. I went to work though, natch (I'm 6 miles straight down the street from the office). We have more snow on schedule for Friday though (allegedly)....we'll see. I really wanted that foot of snow that Jerry promised...

You guys stay safe & warm over there! :)

:tumble:

*sigh*
Well... got more snow, didn't stick to the streets so much, but froze on lots of bridges/overpasses. So lots of stupid people going too fast around those.
Looked great coming down and on the grass, etc. where it did stick though. Thanks Jerry!?!

Unfortunately...they're expecting freezing rain/sleet overnight & in the morning now. 8-o Fortunately, I have nowhere to be tomorrow, so I don't have to deal with it at least. :)

I hope you didn't get too much of the nasty feezy stuff, Sonic and that you get to stay in and curled up. I agree with Poeia, staying in warm and comfy is the only sane way to deal with nasty, freezy weather.

I hope Deej's snow is almost gone. We're warming up to close to 60 this weekend, 70 on Tuesday, and slight possibility of wintry precipitation Wed night

Looks like we got 4-6" today. Manhattan can handle it -- there's enough traffic on the roads to melt that before it really sticks -- but the outer boroughs and the suburbs can't. They've already announced some delayed school openings. (If it were the 1st snowfall of the year, they could probably deal with this but all the snow removal budgets have been pretty well exhausted this year.)

I can't even imagine 2 or 3 times as much in the deep south.

As long as you have heat and power it won't be a bad thing. We're still slightly above freezing, but we've been upgraded from a freezing rain advisory to a winter storm warning. I taught my early class, but my 11am class was cancelled due to the storm warning. I'll be able to get home before the changeover (assuming it happens this time) . I may still have to go to my second job at 3pm, but there's plenty of time before I have to worry about it.

Stay safe and warm.
