Mine finally arrived today along with my first real RBA. I took a risk and got the smoktek Hyper SRT II. Before someone throws PBusardo's tubevid at me again, this is NOT the same version! Much has been improved! (I purchased from gotvapes.com. no affiliation; just a customer) For 20 bucks, it's the best bang for the buck imo. First thing I did was toss the silica and coil. I enlarged the wick holes by about 1 mm. Once my cotton braid square wick and coil was installed this thing vaped like nothing I've ever seen before. Keep in mind I'm no veteran. I've only been vaping a few months and mostly only on novas (all of 'em). So I took it to someone who know these things. My father who's been vaping for over 2 years and really has the experience. He was impressed by it and order one for himself after 3 minutes. The Provari is everything so many people have said about it and then some so I thought I'd stick with the RBA info :)

yo can someone here help me figure out my genesis atty? I cannot, CANNOT figure out how to get rid of the hot spot in the wire from the center post to the coils? It glows red right where the wire is suspended crossing from the post to the SS wick? I might post a thread asking what to do as well but if some1 could answer here it'd help a TON!!! lol

I think i spent 4 hours last night trying to figure it out -___-

well im still getting a hot spot in between the wick and the center post, and the wick and the ground post. IDK! UGH. When I smell it, it smells like something is burning. I've tried all different voltages and that doent change.. But, I'm going to use it I guess. Maybe it'll get better with use?

Your still getting a hot spot (glowing) between the wick and the center post, even with the wire doubled or twisted together?
Humm, dont know what else to tell ya?
If ya do a search you will see a lot ways to fix the problem, some use non resistant 'silver" wire for the legs from the coil to the connections. If you double the wire it does about the same thing.

oh son of a gun I dont have enough wire for that on the coil thats on there. What happens if I continue to use this thing with a burnt taste? could it possibly eventually go away as the juice builds up, or is this a lost cause coil? lol. I thought I did good with my 2nd fiberglass wick, my 1st fiberglass wick burnt. my 2nd didn't have a hot spot, it had a nice red glow throughout. This one only glows red from the mesh to the tower. :( MEHHHHH. I'll get it eventually... I have to keep playing. I have enough wire to keep trying. I don't have enough mesh to keep trying if that messes up.

I got it thanks to you two. Thank you so much. Its only a 1.6ohm coil but its going good. Thanks Zapped and Bob, I appreciate this. Now I finally have my sweet rebuildable on my Provari :) I'm PSYKED! lol. now I just hope the wick sucks correctly.

So, if anyone has the time and still wants to help, how would I make the coil a higher ohm? I noticed that depending on how close the bottom wire was to the ground screw, it changed the ohm. I don't want to fiddle with it now and ruin my progress yet. But is that a good way? Is adding more coils when u build the coil another good way? Using THICK or thin coil? I should just look this up.

Edit 1 minute after posting the above: OK my coil just popped and snapped in half -____-

Bob! Did you talk ugly? Your first "removed" post....

Jazzy, you're such a cheerleader for that RBA, I'm gonna go over there and get one. What the heck...like you say it's only 20 bucks.... I like the cotton better than the silica too...

Rah rah rah! LOL infoimp :) For the money, it's very good! Rah rah rah! (rofl)
All jokes aside, it's a cheap RBA, but it vapes great if you dial it in with a little DIY

Sorry to hear about your wire troubles Plume :(

Update: Recoiled, this time doing the doubled wire for the center post right off the bat.
Result: My first ever functional SS mesh Genesis atomizer SUCCESS!! :) Thanks everyone.

To anyone reading this that is frusterated: 1. Try doubling the wire for the center post. 2. HORIZONTALLY vape. lol. It keeps the juice getting to the coils if you rolled ur wick too tight.

Sweet! :D

Yes ProVari is a great MOD.. love the ones that I own.. love my Gini Steam Machine too.. Note on the OHM's.. thinner wire higher resistance... longer the wire higher the resistance.. (more coils).. I use 32 gauge kanthal but I also have some 28 awg kanthal to use but my Steam Machine does not have the room for a 7/8 wrap coils. I am hoping for a Bliss V2 for Xmas.

now it's the stupid stupid post office, the est delivery date is today and the box is empty :(

Sometimes, "Out for Delivery" Lies! Sometimes when it just says processed at the destination, it's on the truck and appears in your mailbox before it's supposed to. Those are good days ...
