Hi guys and gals,
Just finished wrapping my first coil and am proud to say that I finally have my ZAP running like a little fog machine. I used the "cheesecloth" method to rebuild my wick/ceramic coil after busting my stock setup last night trying to siphon juice from the tank with a syringe. It was 2 days in to the stock setup and while it was getting better and better, this cheesecloth method really does work quite well. I ended up inadvertently wrapping an extra coil so it registers at 2.5 ohms but around 4.4-4.6 (I haven't dared push it higher) I am getting a really great flavor with my "Dew" juice from HHV. Next time I'll wrap one less coil to shoot for 1.8-1.9.
I'm really NOT a handy person and am a little intimidated by DIY stuff but am happy to report a successful maiden voyage in coil wrapping! Now, I just need to baby this damn wick. I'll let you know if I have any issues if they arise but all is well so far.
best,
Matt
