I usually have no problems with my clone and my build are always good, but the last build was strange. I build a 1.3ohm single coil using 28ga and a 2.4mm bit, and some organic cotton that I normally use and I used the same amount on all of my other rbas. But no matter the wattage 11-20w I can't seem to take more than a 1 second drag without getting that plastic taste. Anyone have any ideas or what could be wrong with the setup i used?

Had one fail on me yesterday. First time for a Kayfun. Took a Draw off it and the next one was ........nothing. At work, no tools or time but fortunately I carry several mods.
Broke it down this morning and the coil had snapped. Can only assume age got it. It had run some 20+ fills and gone through several Dry burns.

Never got Plastic taste from a tank, even when one Fogged. Have had it happen from coil overheating and effecting the center insulators.

...I didn't think of that. Maybe it doesn't like the new juice I put in there.... I do have the steel middle piece I could put on there. Either way, I'm gonna rewick it when I get home if it's not the tank.
If the juice is new to you (even new to you in a Kayfun only), you may just be tasting something in the juice itself that you don't like. It is also possible that it is reacting with the plastic, as was already mentioned. Still, it is definitely worth the effort to drain the juice out and check on the build to make sure nothing has gone wrong. Personally, I use a blunt tip syringe to get a tankful of juice out of my Kayfun with minimal losses.
