Hey guys, I got my first RDA about 5 days ago with a coil master v3 (makes perfect coils) at first I made some simple single coils with a 24 guage, amazing vapour and flavor. Use some premade clapton, not as great but still very good. Then suddenly I started getting dry hits, wicking issues and every time I vape after I let go of the button I hear this 'tssss' sound. Naturally I made a new coil, rewicked, and same problem. Made another 6 different coils and rewicked, same problem. What could this be? My wattage is the same, my build is the same since I'm using a coil master, what could I be doing wrong? I juice the hell out of it to.

I don't have the Tsunami specifically so there is a reasonable chance someone might produce an answer a bit more specific than I can come up with, however since there are no replies I shall venture out a couple of fairly generic points that are hopefully useful.

Firstly the 'tsss' sound is likely because the heat retained in the wire after you have let go the button still vaporising liquid. I personally would generally expect a bit of that on a 24g build particularly with a few wraps, the more metal you have typically the longer it is going to take to warm up and cool down.

The dry hits I'd venture is probably one of wicking or hotspots. If it is wicking then it is probably due to being a little too tight in the coil, a little too tightly packed or possibly being constricted by the legs/the space it sits in. Wicking is a bit of a pain to get used to at first and there is not much in the way of helpful descriptions when starting out (beyond snug but not too snug). You do want to figure that spot out, in addition you also want to make sure that you fluf it out and tuck it in place, don't stuff it in there all bunched up or have it packed on the deck, just enough to sit loosely on the deck nice and fluffy. For hotspots you can glow the coil lightly and work them out (strumming over the coil with a flathead screwdriver normally does it well) or if your build choice prohibits that then go with a spaced coil.

All my RDA`s make this sound when they are getting low on juice. Maybe you have too much wick in the coil and the juice cant get there fast enough? Could also be too little. I say pull the wick out and look for singe or burning of any sort and then go more or less depending on how much tension it had when you pulled it.

Loving my clone with a .21, 22 gauge 3mm build, yummy.

Never had a problem with the included hex key on mine....
make sure your not tucking the cotton into the two airflow holes below the coil/coils. and if you can, buy a new alan key for the tsunami's weird screws. the one that comes with it will strip the screws or not tighten them all the way. which can create a short. make sure your coils are heating even, strum them, crimp.... the works

sounds like you're possibly hitting it with too much wattage or too little. dry hits can be avoided by making sure you drip often enough, it's not like a tank where it has to wick up the juice from the well. make sure your coils heat from the middle out, and keep trying, you'll get it. tsunami is a pretty forgiving rda
