Hi everybody, I'm three weeks in to vaping, and 2 weeks free of cigarettes. I'm Really enjoying vaping, and trying lots of different flavors. I've been using my ego tank and ego c pv's, which I like alot, but the problem is I'm going through to many atomizers, since I like changing flavors a few times a day. I had already acquired 30+ flavors so far. I just recieved my torpedo chrome variable voltage unit from totally wicked and looking to purchase some atomizers for dripping. Any suggestions on some decent atomizers for dripping and where to purchase would be appreciated. Thanks in advance and looking forward to your help.

Where you least expect it....
Just want to ask a few questions so that I (and others) can further understand your situation.

1. Do you prime your atomizer?

2. How many drops do you add to your atomizer when you have to drip again?

3. How many drags do you take before you drip some more in your atomizer?

4. Do you let your atomizer rest during X amount of drags?

5. What is the PG/VG % of your e-liquids?

6. Brand of your atomizer?

7. Ohm rating of your atomizer?

Lastly, you can drip a few drops of some pure USP grade to vape out the last flavor before adding a new one.

EDIT: You can get some SR (2.8-3 ohm) atomizers for your Variable Voltage APV. That will allow you to utilize the full rage of voltages that your device can produce.

Welcome to the forum!

I've never dripped before, just looking for what atomizers to buy for dripping. The attys I have now are the sr ones that came with my ego tank and ego c units. Most of my juices are 80% pg, and 20% vg. I was thinking since I like trying lots of new flavors that I would give dripping a try. It seems that the attys for dripping are a little cheeper and I can pick up enough of them to dedicate one per flavor if I like dripping.

Will the 306's fit with the 510 connection?

Yes. I have LR306 attys that I love to drip with. The drip tip it came with was a little too short for my taste, so the guy at my local vape store told me to check out a "Cannon" made by Cherry Vape. If I'd known about them, I would have bought everything from one place - doink:Cannon | Drip Tips | Cisco 306 | LR | Atomizers | Cherry Vape There is also a video about the Cannon somewhere on the site.

ETA: It's been my experience that since you only use a few drops at a time when dripping, you don't need to dedicate one atty to a flavor. YMMV, of course.

I just started dripping on Friday, using just the cheap 510 attys that came with my VV unit. Here's a couple of things I've learned being a total noob (one week vaping total)

1. You need about 6-10 drops on a new, totally dry atty or you'll get the nastiest tasting hit you've ever had. :D

2. You'll learn where your sweet spot is at pretty quick as far as how often to re-drip. For me, it's between 6-10 drags depending on duration of drag. At that point, two or three drops of joose depending again on how many drags I've had and how long they were.

3. I like my atty just on the wet side, not enough to leak or flood, just a little gurgle when you draw, I think you get more flavor that way (could be in my head though.)

4. Buy good drip tips, I had a cheap delrin tip break off in an atty tonight. It's never been dropped, or forced in our out, it just snapped.

5. It's nowhere near as hard as some of the horror stories I had read made it out to be, and I'm hooked on dripping when at home. OMG the flavor just pops!

Good luck, and let the dripping commence!

Read the AVID Vapors instructions You might go to ecig Charleston also they have a good selection. The 306 is great. Dripping takes a little patience to get down you will flood get dry hits ect but once you've got it your good. When your battery wont keep a charge any longer Id strongly suggest getting a Mod your throwing away your money with ego stuff.
You might also consider a cartomizer tank for when its not piratical to drip. Heres some links to some good one to get you started.Tanks - Mom and Pop Vapor Shop ,Texas Tuff Tanks™ - Tuff PRO3

Ikenvapes atomizers are also top notch. I'd say on par with the Cisco's...

The HH.357 is a great atomizer, BUT they are more of an advanced user atomizer. All the stories you hear about them lasting 6 months or more, is from people who took the time to learn how to break them in perfectly. If you don't, they die just as quickly as any other atomizer.

Another suggestion I would make, and the route I have gone, is a Phoenix or Rainbow V3 rebuildable... They can be had for less than $20, and you buy one to last forever. Coil pops, wrap a new coil and keep going... Screw buying new atomizers all the time.

I've tried a few different attys, none of the super-expensive ones but just the more regualar priced 510 attys and my favs are a LR bridgeless atty that both Hotvapes and Kalamazoo Vapor Shop carry. I don't need to prime it, can usually just start dripping right away, I do 3-4 drops at a time, let it cool when it gets hot, and if I switch to another juice I blow it out, add a few drops of plain vg or pg, then blow that out. Then vape to see if I still am getting some of the flavor of the last juice, if not it will just taste like flavorless juice or a little burnt/dry because it's blown out. Then it's ready to go. IF I do still taste the last juice, I repeat with the blowing out the juice (into a kleenex), adding a few drops of vg or pg, then blowing out again. I really like the flavor on these bridgeless attys a lot, they are easy to clean out for the next flavor, and I get LR because I prefer LR stuff, tho I can use SR stuff too since I do have a few VV mods....

Oh, wasn't aware that you've never dripped before. There is a slight learning curve in order to achieve a good vape. So, it's probably best that learn a bit more about it before starting. It can save you a bit of a headache and some money as well.

Here are some basic guidelines for dripping that work for me.

1. Drip 6-7 drops into your atomizer. Wait for about 10 minutes before vaping. The reason is that you need to give the wicking material and mesh time to get fully saturated. That will save you from getting a dry hit (harsh and has a metallic flavor to it....not good). In case you do get a dry hit, just drip a couple more drops and you'll be fine.

2. Generally you can get 5-8 good drags before you need to feed your atomizer again. Just drip 3 drops and repeat. You can tell when it needs to be fed through time. I often notice that the performance decreases. When I taste a very slight metallic flavor then I feed it again. Since the next one is something else...

Adding more then 3 drops can result in flooding.

Signs of this would be weak vapor production and harsh hit but, you still get good flavor. You can fix this problem by lightly blowing out the access.

3. Between those 5-8 drags. It's good to let your atomizer rest for a few. To prevent the coils from overheating. Which can lead to it dying since the coil has been popped.

3. It's good to have a few atomizers in rotation. One for use while another is being cleaned. Since I find that cleaning your atomizer after about 3ml or more. Will extend the atomizers lifespan.
