So a little history...
I used to smoke a little over a pack a day and started at 24/18 nic on an aspire k2 tank 1.5 ohm bvc coils.
That helped but I was more satisfied more satisfied actually when I dropped the nic to 6 and kicked up the watts on a 0.5 ohm coil doing DL. I think because I was actually filling my lungs and getting a better sensation.
Then I kicked up the watts and went to a .15 coil and that was about all I could take, I found it more satisfying but max out at 55 watts.

While all this good, I find myself satisfied for awhile then craving nic. My question is can I take the nic higher in sub ohm? I read that 6 is recommended max for sub ohm but I'm craving more and need that deep lung sensation to be satisfied.

Thoughts? Suggestions?

I use a .5 coil and vape 24mg's. Of course you can go up in nicotine. I used to vape 36 mg until I started subohm. It got me sick from nicotine overdose so I had to lower it to 24mg's. What I do now with the 24 is take a puff or two every 15minutes or so, whenever I get a craving. It's nice because my batteries and juice last longer and when I take a puff I get a great feeling. I just have to be careful not to overdue it. I feel for me this is the best way and I have no cravings for a cigarette because a puff from my mod is better than a cigarette ever was.

The beauty of ecigs is that you can customize your vape to satisfy you. Recommendations are just guidelines in general. If you are craving nic then by all means up the amount. As some have suggested they have a couple of tanks with different amounts of nic just for those cravings. It can sometimes take a while to find what works for you and it may change during your journey more than once. Just stay flexible and go with whatever your body tells you you need. I would not worry so much about what wattage to use or even resistance levels. This is not a competition nor is it a race to the finish line. It is to satisfy your cravings so that you do not return to the stinkies. There is no set right or wrong way to do this.

You didn't say when you quit smoking, but I noticed you joined in February of this year. It can take a while to get over cigarettes, not necessarily the nicotine itself, but all the other addictive things they have in them. For myself, I did manage to put the cigarettes to rest immediately in 2013 by switching to vaping, but I did have those urgent moments on and off that I had to get through. More at first, then less and less as time went on. It took me about a year for all those to pass.

I'll be 4 years free in July, and I don't ever consciously want a cigarette. But even in the last couple of years, I might once in a while have a random thought out of the blue. Not a crave, just an old habit thing. It passes without issue. I always think, "Where did THAT come from?!"

Matter of fact, in preparation for back surgery last December, I cut my nicotine down to zero three days before surgery and didn't notice that I missed it. So initially after quitting, there might be a nicotine issue, but some of it might be the other additives in cigarettes.

To note, I smoked for about 45 years (2 PAD in the last couple of decades) and I never, ever thought I could get free of cigarettes. It's a miracle for me.

Good luck!

I started vaping Dec and just smoked less and less until I was done but I had a really craving and slipped up recently, Im back to vaping at 6 nic but this thing is glued to my hand. I need to succeed so bad medically because there's a medication I have to be on that has health risk if you smoke. Not to mention all the other health risk associated with smoking.

Do what works for you OP. I have never been one to trust the "6mg is recommended for sub ohm" stuff. It's nonsense to me haha. Could I handle 6mg no. 3mg is the highest I would go. My father uses a sub ohm tank. He was doing 18mg because he needed 18mg to satisfy the craving. He is down to 15mg right now because that's what he needs to satisfy the craving.

He rushed 15mg early on his vaping (I make him unflavored e-liquid). That quickly changed and he needed the 18mg back.

That being said, it took him a little over a year and a half before he was able to move down in the nicotine levels. He knew in his mind/heart when the time was there to try a lower level again.

That's the best thing about vaping. Once you get past the safety side of things, the rest is personalized to you.

I don't necessarily have cravings, but I do notice a major uptick in seizures, panic attacks, pain, inflammation, and all the other fun stuff when I don't have a few cigarettes a week (the reason I started smoking in the first place). I'm currently trying to see if I can stop the issues with whole tobacco alkaloids (like from aroma ejuice) and nicotine salts (like from Mr. Salt E).

You can get lower nic WTA juices, but the lowest I've seen nic salts come in is about 20mg. The nic salts have to be vaped at lower wattages, probably between 8 and 20w. You could also experiment with pod mods. The Juul is priciest, but if you only use it when cravings strike, it could be more economical than having to mess with filling juice. Pre-made options have come a long way since I first started vaping 6 years ago!
