I just received my mini, and the taste is horrible - kinda plasticky. I'm struggling to vape it at all. I had really high hopes for this based on my experience with the normal vivi. But given all the positive reviews, maybe I just got unlucky? Has anyone else experienced that?

I've got a couple of spare heads so hopefully I'll have more luck with those - fingers crossed!

First, since I don't recall anyone else mentioning anything of this nature... did you purchase it from GotVapes, there are a lot of knock-offs out there as mentioned in this thread http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...please-read-regarding-knock-off-products.html

AFAIK the 3.5ml and 2ml are made from the same components... so check the heads to see that they look to be assembled properly and the coil etc are not out of place or touching where they shouldn't etc.

The Mini Vivi Nova's from GotVapes currently are not "kitted" so they only come with one head which is a 2.4 ohm head

question.... i've been useing the stardust-r and i bought each of the vivi 2.5 heads to go with it (1.8, 2.4, and 2.9 ohm) if i buy the vivi mini can i have 3 of the 1.8 ohm heads with it instead of one of each. i realy like the 1.8 heads.... thanks

sent from my p.o.s . phone useing a standard touch pad

Hi - yep, it's from gotvapes. I can't see any obvious problem with the head. I'll dump the juice and try another head.

I did happen to think of another, possibly slim possibility .... acidic fruit juices and others like cinnamon etc can attack certain plastics... The Vivi's are made of a stronger type of plastic... but it's still plastic none the less

Sanda, unless you already have, you don't even have to dump the juice to change a head. I use my lil needle nose pliers, take off the cap, then just twist the head off with the pliers, put another one on, put the cap on. I just grab the metal post with the pliers, or even put one part of the pliers inside the post. Dumping may be easier for you, but I dislike the juice dribbles I always end up with.

Loved dragnet.

I had a Vivi Nova tube seriously cloud up on me using a lemonade type juice that doesn't seem to cloud the Stardust R's The Minis I got appear to be that same type of plastic, while the plastic may be better, it's still not good. I do have one of the Titans on the way, but I wish they'd just make all plactic tanks out of polypropylene.

Or perhaps it would be better to say "is not good enough for all juices"... The polycarbonate plastics have certainly improved and many people have complained about the polypropylene being chincey or cheap looking... so it's a no win situation on this one I suspect since I have doubt's that PC tubes will ever be indestructible enough... and PP tubes will likely never be completely clear.

I believe I recall Chris ( or possibly Dan ) mentioning an issue with threading the plastic on the Vivi's... this may explain a difference in the PC used on the Stardust-R and the VN's... but that is just a guess.

I also should have thought of the juice as a possible cause when I first posted ( after all I was on my second cup of coffee by then ... lol ).... but I was in the middle of trying to manually uncover and remove a new multi-layer rootkit infection on a computer system and didn't really get time to focus on other things until after work when I finally sat down after dinner... then the "duh... why didn't I think of this earlier" moment happened... :D
