the super minis will be ready to pick up tomorrow
Next step the laser etcher, we are going to try our best to get in with him as quickly as possible, he is normally good at squeezing us in- the order you have has a SM and a 5V that has the custom etching so both your units will get to the etcher the same time. i have no exact shipping dates yet, but were making progress- we get held at the mercy of the machine shop unforunatley and then we all have to wait together, I will know more when we have stock in hand that Jay can start to work on.

I don't want to presume to know any details or speak for Jay or Sara but as I read the response it seems that orders that don't call for custom etching may actually be ready for final assembly and shipping as early as tomorrow.
If that's the case, it's not a lot of comfort for those who ordered custom etching but it could be a good sign for others waiting on basic units.
All that's easy for me to say, I'm not waiting on a pre-order. By the time it fit my budget you guys had already snagged 'em all!

Scott, I hope your right as mine was one of those with no etching, then with Monday being a mail holiday ether way I think it's going to be a wait.

When you say custom etching is that the GLV logo or can you choose to have something else put on there?
Same here, I missed out on the pre-order. Couldn't get all my pennies together in time. I still go check the website every day...you know...just in case.
I think the GLV logo is what he was referring to, I know that's what I was talking about. I wanted mine left off as I do hand engraving and some day might do my own scroll design on my Super mini.
Ok. My interest is totally peaked on these GLVs and I'm looking for my next mod. Where can I see one of these bad boys? And how soon till the next order period?

You can only get "custom" etching on the full size GLV-2. Mainly because there is just not enough room on the Mini or Super. All units are etched with "GLV" though. The GLV-2 can be ordered right now and unsure of the Mini. We are waiting on the new Super Mini preorders to be fulfilled soon.
My order is for both a SM and a 5V. The 5V has the custon etching. They had told me earlier that my custom etching would be done the same time as the GLV etching on the SM.
The full-size tubes for the 5v and 6v can be laser-etched with up to 8 characters for an additional $10. Unless you ask to leave it off, all head-caps are etched with vertical "GLV"

I'm sure this has been asked a thousand times but.... any ideas on when we will see the pre-order for the super-mini?
