I'm a Supporting Member. Two questions:

When I view my profile page, it lists "Verified Member" and "ECF Veteran", but doesn't list "Supporting Member" - is this correct and if so, am wondering how that came about?

When I'm logged in, there is a persistent bar at the top of the screen saying
The costs of running this huge site are paid for by ads. Please consider registering and becoming a Supporting Member for an ad-free experience. Thanks, ECF team.

Is this bar supposed to be displayed? If so, what is the purpose when I'm already registered, logged in, and a Supporting Member?

Thank you for any asisstance.

IDK the answer to your questions unfortunately but I can tell you that in your post above, you are listed as a supporting member. The only ads I ever see are the occasional pop-up for vaping.com, that you can X out of.

If your membership is about to expire, IDK, I saw a few weird things in the process of it expiring before it renewed, that's the only thing I can think of, hopefully someone else will have the solution to your issue(s).

The supporting member badge is different from the Verified and ECF Veteran banners.

White list ECF in your ad blocker. You'll no longer see the nag bar at the top of the screen, and you'll still be ad free.

Yes it is. But do you have an answer to that first question?

Thank you, I'll try that. But again, I'm already registered and already a Supporting Member, so why is it displaying a nag bar telling me to do those things again?

Because we check for an ad blocker first. If an ad blocker is detected, it displays the nag bar, regardless of account status.

But do you have an answer to that first question?

Again, it's because the supporting badge is something we've added, it's not part of the original core in the software. Hence, it's not displayed on your profile page like the Verified and Veteran banners are.
