Surge Tank

Anyone have one?

I do. There are a lot of things to like about it.

Here is the problem:

In order to get a good contact you have to adjust the center pin/set screw of the tank down fairly hard. Like totally cranked down tight enough to make me worry about breaking something. This is abrasive and tends to mar and indent the center of the contact on the battery or mod.

In order to get it to fire I have to tighten things to the point of being somewhat destructive to the mod or battery it is attached to. I tried to put an adapter between the battery/mod and the tank to keep from damaging the mod. This only caused a battery to go thermal on me.

Am I doing it wrong? Any suggestions?

Get one and no problem at all with the contact pin.

I really think the surge tank is great actually. The concept of an in-line bottle is extremely relevant to my interests.

What mod are you guys using your Surge tank on? I just got one but I have a feeling it's not going to look very attractive on my Precise P18 - I'd need something a little fatter and maybe a little shorter.

The Bolt is the fattest device I've had mine on. Still not as wide as the surge tank.
