What a vape mail day!!! VapeRev sends my polished. Kidneypuncher sends the ribbon kanthal. Let me say that .5mm ribbon is perfect for the Kayfun. I'm not sure how many wraps I did, about 5 I think, but @ 1.5ohms yum yum.
Hype verified. I originally learned about Kayfun by surfing the threads, seeing the hype, seeing how much people were paying for them. I first got a kayfake, tried it, liked it. Waited for Kayfun. Got word through a Facebook group that VapeRev had them in stock. Bam. Purchased.
Received today and set it up with 5wraps of .1 x.5 ribbon. Metered out at 1.7 ohms on the provari. Wrapped around 2.5mm silica doubled over to two loops, wrapped wick along side of base as per instructions.
OMFG. Like someone else said in a thread, "im ready to sell everything else." This thing is AMAZING. The flavor is deep and rich, warm. It's like an orgasm every time I hit this thing. Using it on a kicked Nzonic at around 10 watts. It's just so amazing.
Easy to build, I had it wicked/coiled and test firing in about 5 minutes. It's vape-life changing. I understand. I believe. Wow.

SG-1 Hybrid adapter arrived today also. Kayfun-Sigelei hybrid action. Why wait for the hybrid collector plate adapter. I might even put a stubby drip tip on it to make it shorter. The perfect pocket vape.
here's my kayfun 3.1 es beta with the nemesis vw in 18490 mode. so sexy..just wish i had picked up the brushed version instead of the beta.
My kayfun made it through the night without leaking, that means success on my first wick! Flavor is unreal! Loving it!
what kind of ohms are you guys getting on your kayfun builds? im so used to running low ohms on all my rbas but i keep hearing of people running higher ohms.
I'm running 1.8 right now. My next build, I'm going to try running a microcoil of 28awg.
My Kayfuns are running at around 1.2-1.3, mech and regulated (somewhat) friendly. 
thats what im interested in as well. i might try the microcoils that johnsnhu recommended though, looks interesting. 10 wraps of 30 gauge to output 1.5 ohms..hmmm. right now i only have 4 wraps of 30 gauge and i haven't metered it yet but probably at .7
correction: just metered out to 1.0

I run mine between 0.7 to 0.9 ohm on mech, and 1.5 ohm on provari.
i hear it's dangerous to go too low on the kayfun as you run the risk of melting the insulator. 0.5 ohm is generally the lowest in terms of safety of the atomizer that is recommended. not something i have personally experience though so take it as a general warning, its just from shop talk that keeps coming up regarding low ohms and the kayfun.
0.6 ohm here. its the only way i like it. i tried 0.4 but it wasnt wicking fast enough. just got allot of dry hits most of the time.
I like to keep mine near ~1.5 ohms. Works well on a mechanical, and great on a variable mod. I don't see the need for sub ohms on the Kayfun because you get plenty of vapor and flavor when you are at 9-10 watts. I'm currently @ 4.8volts with a 1.5ohm coil on the ProVari mini which is about 15 watts. If I lower it to 4.2volts it is still a satisfying vape, and would be great on a mechanical for the initial battery curve.
Wow, almost 30 watts on a fresh battery. Sounds excessive, but if you enjoy it... Now I'm tempted to give it a try.

On another note, my kayfun from vaperev arrived yesterday without the plastic needle, filled from the top but im getting gurgling. I put in some mocha mint juice and woke up te next morning to find like 5 vertical cracks on my tank. It's so straight i thought the tank was like that until i noticed juice was leaking off of it. The juice isn't even that minty at all. The juice probably tastes like 5-10% mint. I'm surprised at how easy it cracked, what's it made out of?
