Can this be so?

That's what I'm trying to do! My coil is off the bottom of the deck but only by a little, I need to raise it much more. I'll also try packing the wicks in much lighter this time too.

Are you guys achieving a warmer vape by raising the coils higher or lower from the deck?
Also does having the leads coming from the top or bottom of the wick have any effect on vape temperature?
I always get a great vape but I would like more control on vape temp! Thanks guys

Furthermore, sometimes a make a coil and get awesome almost hot vapor! And next time it's near cold! And I don't know what I'm doing to get the hot vape lol

I have the leads coming both from the bottom to the screws and the coils on the lower side of the deck: 1 1/2 mm I would say. 30 AWG, 4 wraps at 1.4 ohm.Very pleasant warm vape, good TH, plumes of vapor and very nice rich flavor. Taking 3 to 4 second hits to get satisfied. No dry hits at all until the tank is empty.

Absolutely, as long as I can keep this performance consistent, I will be happy

Thanks guys will post my results of lowering my bridge effect of the coil and running the leads from the top and bottom to see if I get more control with consistent results

I like the idea of the sticker for the mini.
Is that something that is/will be available for the normal sized kayfuns?
Would be cool to use a bottom button mod in that configuration.

At the moment there is only a mini sticker - for eGO. Sticker for Kayfun is not produced, and this year is likely it will not. But the plan has its manufacture.

You mean there will be a sticker like device for the full size kayfun 3.1??
I'm so confused lol. If so that would be awesome!

I set mine like this:

Kayfun 3.1 ES (4/3 wrap 28GA) = ODDY Clone (dual coil 32GA)

I really like both the Kayfun & ODDY clone. Still playing with the wraps and coils.

Thanks Fed71. I like the Kayfun so much I ordered some more from Svoë Mesto. Also wanted to add that the discount code from previous post does work. I e-mailed Sergey earlier today about my purchase and he refunded the 10% discount back to my Paypal account. That was pretty fast.

Should be getting my 2.1 tomorrow. So, is anyone using the 2.1 on an Ego? I've got a twist I am planning to use with it, but then again maybe it might be better on a mech mod. I have a Natural that I use with the BT 804 and it works quite well. I'm thinking the smaller form factor lends itself very well on the Ego, I just don't know if the performance will suffer. Speaking of the Ego, is SM the only one that makes anything like the sticker? Its a great idea, but it seems over priced for what it is. I would think there would be several devices like that given all the copy-cats these days.

I bought 2 kayfuns 3.1 ES but they are still blocked in customs in Russia. Hope that today they will be released and i will have them up to the end of the week. Can't wait to test the Kayfun.

L.E After 6 days of delay the package was finally released from customs. So i think that in two days i will get them. If somebody is thinking about DHL Express keep that in mind, 6 days of delay caused by customs.

@Fed71 i'm not blaming nobody, but when you are paying for an Express service and the price almost match the price of one Kaifun you expect speed, not 6 days of delay. At the end this is why we have Express services at high prices.

My problems started already on 6th of april when Clearance Delay appeared for the first time in the tracking log. Called DHL mailed SM Shop and at the end the response was: customs are telling that some documents are missing. The guys from SM were very kind and did the best to solve the issue. But still, 6 days i was biting my nails ...

Anyway the good thing is that there is hope that i will get the two babies in this weekend.

Did anyone polish the kayfun up to mirror finish? I want to prepare a nice gift for my wife, a kaifun and a provari mini both of them polished up to mirror finish. I own a proxxon dremel with all the necessary tools for polishing (different polish heads, polish paste) and i just want to know if it can be done.

It can be done. Can't tell you the specifics, but I'm sure someone with polishing experience can help you out. Try posting in the cosmetic mods forum.

been using 3mm eko wool single strand 30 gauge kanthal with 5 wraps at 1.3 ohms on a mech mod with great results! It looks really thick but works awesome!
