So I was doing some reading about kayfun coils and about the new Lemo and stuff. Decided to try a different build tonight to see if I could improve my vape. Normally i'm running 28 or 30 around a 5/64" drill bit with Japanese cotton @ about 1.3 ohms. Usually can't run much more than 13 watts on it. Tonight I wrapped 28 gauge around a larger 3/32" drill bit with a thicker wick, same type. About 9 wraps for 1.6 ohms. Put the barrel on and trimmed the cotton right to the top edge and poked it down in there. Took the barrel off and made sure the bottom of the cotton just touched the deck and then fanned it out a little bit. Juiced it up good, test fired and whoa that's a lot more vapor! Put it all back together, filled it up, and started turning up the watts. Sitting at 20 watts right now and it's more vapor, more flavor, and more yum yum yum. No primer puffs, no dry hits so far. I may have just fallen in love with my kayfun all over again. It pays to experiment. :)
