Sweet Spot for Single Wire Kayfun Like RBA.

I have a kayfun Lite+ and have found that I get the best flavor form a .8 ohm build. It requires pulling in some juice at times by sucking while covering the air hole but I find it worth the extra trouble. At what ohm to you find you get the best?

I like using 28g kanthal and doing 8 wraps around a 3/32 drill bit. Comes out to about 1.4 ohms and run it at 13watts. I run it with no afc screw. Wicks and tastes great. Been running it like that for almost a year on my kayfun lite plus.

I enjoyed 1.4 Ohm much better than current build that is 1.9 Ohm.

If it works for you then you certainly aren't violating any rules of conduct are you?

Personally I find 1.4 ohms to be perfect for the speed at which the two channels will deliver the liquid at the rate 1.4 ohms vapes at 13-15 watts. What you're doing is similar to squonking, but seems to defeat the purpose of the Kayfun. But I do this too when I've done a poor wicking job.

Now I do have another RTA (Orchid) which is dual coil and has 4 juice channels. I do builds around 0.3 ohms and run between 35-42 watts. The flavor is excellent and the vapor warm, but it's a different animal. I encourage you to try something like that as there are several on the market to choose from. I get almost identical flavor from my Orchid as I do my RDA's. Just sayin.

My go-to coil would be 7-8 wraps of 28 gauge on a 3/32 bit for ~1.4 ohm. But it's pretty versatile. Right now I'm running a ~.9 ohm dual coil setup at 21 watts and its wicking better than I expected while producing a flavorful and warm vape.
