Hi Everybody! Summer time is around the corner, and I'm looking forward to mixing fruit flavored liquid. However, the fruit mixes are all missing something. I have most of TPA's flavors and mix between 20 to 25% - 75pg/25vg. Simply put, they are just boring ... flat and I do add more than one flavor. Nothing on inhale and light flavor on exhale. Could it be I don't add sweetener? What does this actually do to mixes? How much should a person use? Why are my mixes so FLAT? Any assistance with these issues is surely appreciated!

Sweetener could help. I usually end up adding TPA sweetener to the fruit mixes for my wife, about 0.1mL per 2mL of recipe.

I like to add a tiny bit of menthol to liven up flavors. Since only a touch is needed I just add a few drops of premixed menthol juice (Halo Newpure). Try one drop per mL of recipe.

Max, what is the difference between Halo's newpure and menthol crystals? Are you the same Max who use to high percentages on FlavourArt when they first came out? I think the icon of this person was a handsome man smoking a cigar.

Do you know why my mixes have no depth?

Thanks everybody for the input. I have just about every fruit flavor out there, especially if it is from TPA or FA. Hummmmmm, marshmallow. I would have never thought about that one. I must try it NightSong. That was a very nice tip.

Sophie, I do not have any TPA's cotton candy nor Oba Oba. I'll have to see if I can get a hold of a sample to try. Are they sweeteners or flavor enhancers?

I gave up on sweeteners about a month ago. I found it was like chasing the PH balance in my pool. It was adding another variable that just wasn't worth the effort. I tried Stevia, Sucralose, and TPA's CC.

I've found that finding the proper flavor levels is a far more effective means of achieving the proper sweetness. Also, looking to vanillas and creams to balance out the sharper fruits can be just the trick.

Of course, That's Just Me/YMMV/Flavor Is Subjective™/Yadda Yadda.

Just a suggestion but recently I have found if a add a drop of either menthol, mint, spearmint, clove or cinnamon as complementing flavor to various fruits and other light juices I get a better TH. Not too much don't want to taste the added flavor over the original, but it helps me "feel" the inhale/exhale.
mostly I use this for my Ego T, it's just too cool a draw....
