Hi everyone,

I've been lurking these forums for a while, doing my research and finally went and bought my first setup today. So far, I'm having a great time with it!

I decided (with the help of these forums and a wonderful seller) to go with the eGo-C Twist and Vivi Nova 3.5ml set (with the 1.8, 2.4 and 2.8 ohms heads). I also picked up some of the FlavourArt Virginia and Espresso juices.

If there is anyone here with a similar setup, I'm interested to know any problems I might encounter or general tips. recommended upgrades etc.

Thanks!

p.s. I'm living here in Berlin, Germany and got everything from a place called Steam Store. If anyone is ever here, the guy there was super friendly and helpful and would have let me try out different setups and flavours all day, I'm sure!

I have been vaping almost 6 months and have tried countless combinations of set-ups. My favorite go-to set up is EXACTLY what you bought. I do use some Mini Novas for my lesser favorite juices. I wish I would have known about this forum before I started vaping. It would have saved me hundreds of dollars on trial-and-error.

I haven't tried the flavors you are vaping but if you are happy, then go for it!

Congratulations on your purchase and your switch!!!

And welcome to the family!

Hi welcome to ECF and congrats. Although I just ordered some Twists I have used variable voltage PVs. Be careful of the 1.8 ohms- too high a voltage and you'll get a burnt taste- start on low voltage and adjust upwards until you find your "sweet spot"- 1.8 ohm best around 3.7- 4.0 volts IMO. Best head you'll find is the 2.4 as it offers a wide range of voltage.
Here's a voltage to ohms Chart to help:

Cheers and Good Luck.

Depending on the juice used, I clean my novas after every 2-3 tanks. There's lots of videos on how to clean the novas.

It may seem like a lot of work at first, but it becomes habit and I have atomizer heads that have been lasting 2+ months already. The wicks and coils still look great.

Also, remember to keep the wicks wet by turning the juice in the tank around every so often so you don't get any dry hits.
I have had very very good success with my novas and Twists.

Thanks for the replies and tips, especially that graph, it'll be helpful for sure. I've actually got a problem with the nova in that the threading is stuck on the bottom screw so I can't remove the head. I'll pop back in the store tomorrow and sort it out but for now, the 1.8 is doing fine.

I forgot to mention that I got the 10000mAh twist because I smoked a lot and didn't want the battery dying on me while I was out or at work. Plus, I think the larger size actually looks a little better...!

Thanks again for the warm welcome!

Thankfully you didn't order online and can just scoot down to the shop to resolve the issue. Just remember to only finger tighten the clearos to the batts otherwise either the clearo post gets pushed up (easy fix) or the Twist battery connection gets pushed down (fixable BUT the issue worsens over time). Also remember to clean batt, clearo and charger connections.
Good Luck.

Another quick question actually...

I have the two different flavours at the moment, and am enjoying both. Even though I've only had it one day, I can see cleaning and changing the juice each time I want to try the other getting pretty tedious. Do most people have a couple of tanks, for different flavours? Is there any problem to storage or transport with the tanks (if I have two full, and unscrew one to stick in my bag for later, is it going to leak at all) or are there cases/caps for them etc?

Thanks!

Yes you are going to need more than one tank if you want a couple of flavors in rotation. Makes cleaning less of a rush too.
Mine leaked once when it was all the way upside down in my case for a whole workday. Otherwise laying on it's side or straight up they've been fine.

Also, go ahead and buy another backup battery Twist and even a cheap mini-ego or something for emergency purposes.
If your battery dies on you, and you were a decent amount smoker, the first few weeks you will immediately crave a cig if you don't have anything to vape. At least that was my experience.

Welcome marob, congratulations on the switch-I'm coming up on my first anniversary off cigs pretty soon. This community is fantastic. I may be in the minority on this, but I have tried a couple of different tanks and I think I still prefer cartos. I like the idea of not refilling 8 times a day, but I feel like a get better flavor from a boge than from my nova. Good luck.

Hey Marob, First of all congratulations and well done. My recommendation would be to get yourself an extra charger, at least one more Twist battery to use while the other is charging, now you know you like this set up and several more clearos or novas. Others will be able to tell you all about the vivi novas. Next thing to do is to buy samples from several vendors to see what avenues that takes you (Heathers Heavenly Vapes, Ahlusion, Want2Vape, Rawr, Virgin Vapor and Alice in Vapeland to name a few). Nice to see you here.

Thanks again for the welcomes and advice. I'm still on the Espresso flavour from FlavourArt and really enjoying it but will branch out soon!

I went and picked up another tank too, which has already made things so much easier!

I was out in one of my local bars last night, the first time taking it out at night. The bartenders wanted to try it and I ended up having to write down the address of the store and all the details of my PV as they liked it so much!

hehe. yup, i have had to write down PV info about 20 times since getting mine... i have turned 3 referrals so far in just a few weeks..!
luckily, i get printed out referral cards from the company i order from, so i can just give out the cards if someone really wants to buy...
next time you go to the shop grab some of their business cards...!

also CONGRATS on making the switch & welcome to ECF....! :)
