Was wondering if anyone had to deal with their other still smoking cigs after you switch to vaping. After a month or so, do you become the typical non-smoker complaining of smell etc?:p I mean we usually just sit up in bed smoking cigs now watching tv etc and she will still be sitting next to me smoking analogs. Im just thinking soon I'm not gonna like the smell and smoke around lol. Anyone else have this problem.

if she is still smoking, you will probably not mind the smoke for a long time since you will continue to be used to the smell, i would suggest using the psychology of your situation in your favor.

you say you sit in bed puffing while watching tv, perfect, there are differences between your method and hers that you might be able to use to your advantage.

First: let her try the flavors. dont be forceful about it, just be all "ooohhh nice this watermelon rocks! here try!"

Second: make sure you have a spare battery always charging, and close by, the image must come across that its as easy to vape as reaching for a lighter.

and the most important: flaunt your health improvement, not in a bad way, come back from a run or something and when she asks you what you were doing you say something very passive agressive like "ive been feeling so good lately i thought i could take on some extra excersise!"

these things are passively agressive as oppose to active agressive, they portray the idea that switching is a viable option without making her feel like youre attacking her choice. for now thats all i would reccomend since she shows no interest in quitting you can take advantage of that i saw.

Hi k3vbomb, Nachtengel has great suggestions, perhaps one will work with your GF.

My hubby still chain smokes. I've been vaping a year next week, he tried to vape and never took to it. We're good. I'm very used to the smell of smoke, so it doesn't really bother me, but that stale ashtray that gets me every time.

Anyway, I hope it all goes smoothly for you and your GF. :)

It's been 5 months of no analogs for both me and my hubby. I must say that the smell of smoke has bothered me more and more over the months. It has gone from disliking the stale ashtray smell of the local casino to being bothered by people smoking 30 feet away at Disneyland.

I never really wanted to try to quit because I enjoyed smoking but the day I picked up my e-Cig was the day I quit analogs. Like Nachtengel said, let her try the flavors. Once you Vape flavors like butterscotch, cotton candy, honey cured tabacco and pineapple/orange you start to wonder why you thought analogs good.

I really hope she will give them a try because I was also a committed analog smoker but it was soooo easy to quit. I never enjoyed smoking like I do Vaping!

constant state of confusion
My ex (yep I said ex) continued smoking when I started vaping. It worked out fine for the most part until he would ask ME not to vape in the car because he couldn't stand the smell, while he sucked his Newports. He didn't like me vaping and would even do things like handing me the analog he was smoking and saying "here, finish this." We didn't live together though. As I got more involved in the vaping community and more "invisible friends", as he called them, we grew further apart and it ended after 16 years together. My new boyfriend does vape and I met him through the vaping community on twitter. I can honestly say that I have never been happier then I have been since I started vaping. Healthier, not smelly, best friends in the world and the love of my life.....all from vaping.
