On my last few orders from 3F I've been using what they call "Special US Airmail". It costs me 50 cents more. The tracking number works as far as LA airport then it goes to a place near LA and gets another label with tracking number that they don't give me. The USPS postage on the last two was $5.50. I've been receiving the package in 7 - 8 days.

I've got two authentic now and it doesn't bother me that it won't connect to Escribe. Having said that that though it's the one thing hhe should add because there are always people that want it.
I take it you don't use temperature control? And for power users, doesn't the DNA60 have a boost for power users that requires EScribe to enable it? Maybe a firmware upgrade too?

I couldn't help myself, grabbed a spare bronze
Sweet! Although I've spent over $1500 since February on SXK BB stuff and I don't want to get on another train. And did you notice it says Pre-order and Partial Pre-order?

Yep, the 5ml bronze was a pre-order, I'm ok with that, it's just a spare... They have 5ml black, silver, green, and orange in stock...

Edit:  $1500 is impressive !, "Rabbit Hole" keeps coming to mind, lol :thumb:

Yes I do sometimes but TC isn't a big thing with me. There is a boost function and obviously when you've got a dna test chip it's nice to upgrade it...i do think that BBV should go with a USB but I can't see it happening anytime soon. Personally I think he won't because of the sxk clone.

Because I've got a mixture of OG's and clones I can have the best of both so I'm not bothered. The other side of things is the sxk chip too.... They've got a USB but it's next to useless :)

The usb in my SXK 70 W clone doesn't charge (unlike the Bantam) and I don't know if it works for software updates - never explored that. If I bought another clone I'd pay the extra bucks for the dna for sure. I hate how the SXK 70 (Asmodus GX80 chip?) reads resistance high and jumps around. I really love an accurate Ohm reading on a mod.

My Bantam ended up in the washing machine this morning, it tried several times before but finally made it today. It now has that familiar burnt electronics smell.
Still works though....now, dried it out

Luckily I only have 1 SXK 70....all my others are the DNA 60. Don't know what possessed me to buy it really...I certainly wouldn't advise anyone else did :)

I think the only use for the USB is a GX 80 upgrade if one came out but pretty useless otherwise.

In other news I just heard that my fire button SSPP/TRVP collaboration is in France from the US so should be here in a couple of days....no USB slot on those eother as they are designed for the OG....but pretty excited as they are superb all the same :)

Hello to you BB fans. Been out of circulation for a while due to illness but back on line now :)

Here's a pic of my authentic number 792...ive had it for 2 weeks ish but I haven't built it yet. I'll be interested in a comparison between it and the clones when you all get yours...

May your rabbit holes be well lit my friends :D
That button looks awesome, I love the two tone look, are those from SSPP?

Good to see you back on the threads sir!

Coil resistance on a regulated devices doesn't mean anything. Very important on a mech though.

I ran a 0.02Ω on the Home Wrecker G2 once trying to get close to the supposed 0.007Ω minimum for the mod. It wouldn't recognize a 0.01Ω coil, so I think their minimum spec was an "on paper" thing.

Hi Charlie

Thank you I'll be here as long as as the symptoms don't get me again... Second round starts tomorrow.

The Bantam button and it's inner plate came direct from TRVP Canada but the BB inner plates that have just landed in France are a SSPP / TRVP collab. I've got gold and silver coming and the best thing is that the fire button plates are magnetic so interchangeable :)

I hope the buttons are the same as the Bantam one and I agree the 3 D effect is kind of of awesome...

Hope things are going well for you at the moment :)

All good here, might be time to give Albert more of my money. ;)

Wishing you the best good sir!

Got my 2nd set of panels in from Provapes today,so now i've got both mods where i want them appearance wise haha. Both sets of panels are SXK,the brass drip tip is a JMK Busto+,the black drip tip is a Never normal doughnut tip,and both buttons are JMK dome buttons.
I don't recommend the dome buttons if you pocket carry your mod though, they stick out just a bit past the panel, and will fire the mod very easily,i plan to get a couple sunken ones soon,as i hit the button every time i touch these mods haha.

Coil resistance DOES affect how much juice you vaporize. How much juice you vaporize requires an equal amount to be able to be wicked- to avoid dry hits.
So my question was regarding wicking, not battery life; so resistance does matter if a given RTA cannot wick fast enough (especially with no juice flow control mechanism).

I'm glad you guys have reminded me how bad the SXK 70w is, I was toying with the idea of grabbing one from FT for $54 with the current code, I was going to get it as "spare parts" but it's probably better to just hold out and hope they do another batch of DNA-60's...

My FT order has ended up fairly boring, a couple more spare boro's, an A-tank, & SVT Tell Immersion tank...

Well kinda. If you are talking about the same fixed voltage to the coil like in a mech mod, then yes. But if you can vary the coil voltage like in a regulated mod, then you can adjust the voltage to where they produce the same vapor. And if the surface area of two coils are the same and the wattage is the same, coil resistance really doesn't matter.
  • 1Ω, 5V @ 5A = 25W
  • 0.1Ω, 1.58V @ 15.81A = 25W
A purest would say there is more factors like heat flux, heat capacity, power dissipated, etc. But that is getting nitpicky and we don't necessarily need that kind of accuracy for here. ;)
