Am happy, Ange! Thank you (and returning those same wishes to you)!

Does it now. I've not even seen (up klose and personal) the 2k18, so View attachment 788389.

To me it just looks like any other rta - whereas the 2k16 has no silver top, it's pure tank:

OMG, Raq, thumbs UP for all your efforts!

I'll be passing since, as KD implies, I'm happy with the old geezer dawgs too. I love the simplicity, and top or bottom fill has never mattered to me.

    No dawgie wrestling for me.

Yeah this thing is all kinds of goofy.. Went to refill this am and followed the goofy directions. Seat top cap, tip upside down = juice flowing away and onto the floor.... Arr....... Officially scrapped this sucker and now really am moving on from it...

Whoever designed this thing need to be smacked in the back of their nugget.... :p

Thanks, dear one! That actually helps A LOT in the actual visual of the two.

Like the older model, I do, I do.

Yep. That was a really curious decision. The only 2 things I ever heard doggie fans ask for is top fill and better afc. And for some reason they chose to redesign it to include the lower deck & add JFC. The one thing that all the doggie fans love is that it just wicks so easy, so forgiving, so consistent. I couldn't count the times on a Kayfun I'd singe a wick on a brand new build because I forgot to reopen jfc. I don't get it. Seems like they just overthunk it.

If you use the Kayfun more, it becomes second nature. The Kayfun is what I use most of the time and I never forget to to open the JFC.

I have a difficult time keeping tracking who did what first but there's a similar top load design for the Dvarw from Steam Turners.

I haven't tried the one for the Dvarw or the Doggy yet but it does seem makeshift compared to the elegant design of the Kayfun Prime. In the video of the authentic Doggy 2k18, it looked like some liquid squeezed out when the top cap was pushed in while the tank was held upside down. Although it looks jury rigged, I would like to try it.

I think the simplicity of the Doggy is the best thing about it. It is easy to break down and clean. And that's the primary reason that I got into rebuildables. Some have posted that they don't clean their tanks for months so it may not be important for them but I like to clean frequently.

I do prefer the vape from the Kayfun for my low air flow style of vaping (I think maybe the narrower and longer chimney and the better air flow control might be the reason for this preference). But it is convenient that I can break down and clean the Doggy in a fraction of the time. The air flow ring on the Doggy does irritate me though. The Prime has a lot more parts so I keep several in rotation. I can just grab a new one and clean the old one when I have time.

I would like a stop in both directions. A few pages back, someone said they don't remove the deck from their mod for months. But I prefer to remove the RTA every time that I refill it. And I also prefer to clean frequently. Sometimes gently squeezing the air control is enough to keep it from spinning when unscrewing the deck. Sometimes, I'll just stick a precision screwdriver in the air opening so that I don't have to mess with it.

Welp, steal my thunder! LOL! I was going to suggest using a bitty screwdriver in the A/F and never having to deal with the spinning of it again.

But you're way ahead of me! :D

How are you liking the Galaxies RDTA? Better than the Doggy?

It's definitely a great design that is a joy to use. And the quality is excellent. For my preference of low air flow, the Prime wins. The Galaxies can be closed up tight but I don't think it really shines until you open up the air flow. For reference, I also think the SXK Doggy works best with a loose air flow rather than a restricted air flow.

Someone asked a while back so I figured I'd share.. I have the authentic 2K18 and after seeing someone pose the Q I ordered both the SXK 2K16 and 2K18 clones from an eBay seller and they arrived this morning...

Yes the parts are all interchangeable.... I even fitted the clone 2K16 tank onto the authentic 2K18 deck.. I guess this would be beneficial to someone who wants more airflow from the 2K18 but the look and style of the 2K16...

Anyways, just passing along my findings...

I'll probably post up the SXK's (2K16 and 2K18) in the classified area later and they'll be FREE so keep an eye there if you want one of em.... :D

    Doggy on peeps!

I want to know which doggy user has the biggest kennel ;)

I know it's not myself but I'm betting on it being the dark horse @DPLongo22 or maybe the better looking @Katdarling

Rules are simple - has to have a deck, tank and chamber to count as a doggystyle RTA ;)

I've got 5 doggy RTAs in my doghouse
