SXmini mod ... Yihi

i have my extension tubes coming from yihi. i have the latest firmware in my devices. does anyone know if there is anything else i must do besides screw on the extension tube and add 2 batteries? will it recognize 2 batteries are attached and go up to 120 watts or is there some other method for unlocking the board to reach the highest wattage? sorry for the ignorance, i just don't wish to fry anything and there doesn't seem to be anything written about it anywhere on the yihi site. appreciate the help....

I had a tube from another mod installed (not very well) to try awhile back.. It went to 120 watts just by adding the additional 18650 with no issues..

thank you- yes, i could e-mail yihi but i thought if someone here had already tried it it would be faster. they could even come with instructions (have a tracking # but not received yet). can't wait to try and i just want to err on the side of caution....

jolly there is a 60 watt update. it requires windows.

You have to conact YiHi directly then. I'm thinking that Varitube is their repair vendor.

As you use the tube, if you have "HHHHHHHHHHHH" on your screen, it is necessary to do a reset with the link function

You and many others...that's pretty much all they talk about on the VS thread. I can't figure out why people continue to buy those things.

I have a bunch of them. all dead! it is some sort of joke on us or something. evolve has the wherewithal to fix it I am sure. plus 40 watts is a bit weak these days. nickel is nice if I don't have to build it but the m-class will fix that. my guy said they are coming in a few days on the plane. is he wrong? I can't wait for this. I am going to anodize it though.

Yep, the M Class should be the way to distributors.. I received an e-mail from Varitube stating that some pre-orders will start shipping this week. However, only Grey/Silver, Black/Silver, and Rose/Silver will be coming in for this initial shipment. The Silver/Shiny Black, Rose/Shiny Black, and the Luxury gold are delayed at least another week.

Unfortunately, I think you'll be waiting much longer than a week. I posted back in the middle of February to be aware that some vendors, being very irresponsible, were posting combo's that were just "concepts". The only 4 colors, that i've been told by my dealer, that are/will be available are the 4 posted on yihisxmini.com.... Grey/Silver, Black/Silver, Rose/Silver and Silver/Shiny Black.

Since I ordered the Black / Silver, it should be shipping when stated..

Instead of getting this from China and wait for a few months why not get it made ?? Shouldn't be too hard since it's only a tube... Dimensions and specs are easy to measure....

Just a heads up, but I was in contact with Yihi earlier this month. In regards to an inquiry I made for a silicone case for the S class mini. They promptly e-mailed me back stating one is in the works ! (Clear) That should solve some issues, and would really feel good in the hand ! Plus protection! I e-mailed Varitube to have them save me one upon release. They confirmed the development ,hopefully end of April. Haven't seen any post about this so thought l would. Peace out....

Some highlights:

Well, in the previous SX Mini, I had a couple of physical ‘complaints’. The 510 adjustment depth, which they revised and fixed, and the sharp corners on the base were uncomfortable.
The YiHi SX Mini Class M has a light bevel to the base edges, making it far far more comfortable in the hand. This is a big improvement.

They have also massively improved the quality and finish of the coatings to the device, specifically the c-frame part of the body.

The temperature regulation works, and it works well and reliably. I had no issues with dry hits or burnt cotton at all.

I was delighted that you can now use the up/down buttons (as well as the gravity sensor) in the menus. This is a welcome change and makes changing setting when using a dripper a lot easier.
I also liked the way the main screen tells you if you are changing memories or adjusting them (with ADJ , M1-M5 displayed clearly in the corner).

The new 510 cap has a new and improved X design air slot now, but the slots don't reach the outer edges of the cap to let air in.
