"When you adjust for 50J, a 1 second vape will give you 50J of heat".

Yeah but since a joule is just a watt-second, setting to 50W and vaping for 1 second will also give you 50J of heat. So all they've done is replace the "W" on the screen with a "J". This is PR nonsense. Setting to 50J gives you 50J of heat if and only if you can press the button for exactly 1 second and release. The number has no meaning for any other amount of time. Displaying at 50W is a more accurate description since 50 watts of power is produced continuously no matter how long the button is pressed. The one area where using joules does makes sense is the cumulative number at the bottom where you can see how much energy/heat has been produced over time.

Well I finally took the plunge and ordered the SX mini M. I also ordered a couple Sony batteries to go along with it. I'm so happy I could dance. I wanted to get the SX mini when I seen it and watched some reviews and then heard about the temp one coming out and I held off. I figure even if I don't like the temp I can still go back to my trust kanthal wire :) I told my hubby this will be my last big purchase for a device. I got this terrible look from him and can't figure out why..lol

I'm with you, Peter. Or as I've often cited in a Reader's Digest version of what you said:

1. Push button.
2. Vape.
3. Grunt.

Love it!

ibndevilish, I told myself the same thing you told your hubby when I got my Mini. Turns out I was mostly right, as I haven't bought anything since. Not counting my second Mini, of course, which I picked up last December. Any day now I should be getting a phone call from a Fasttech rep to make sure I'm okay. Sadly, I don't think they'll be around much longer without my business. :D

I have a question and this thread is to big to read it all to find out from the original SX S Class owners. I have pretty much talked myself into purchasing the M class and I am just kind of dragging my feet to catch any negative press before pulling the trigger. My question though is the 3 month warranty. I truthfully wish it came with a 6 month warranty since it is a couple bills and by today's options in vape gear it is expensive for a Chinese mod. So back to the warranty did any of you owners that had the S class ever have to deal with a warranty issue? If so how did it go? Where did the mod get sent, back to vendor, or somewhere else? Any idea who handles the warranty?

I guess since I have pretty much about talked myself into this mod I want to make sure if I had the misfortune to get a buggy lemon how easy it is to deal with those matters?

I wasn't aware that YiHi changed the warranty... AFAIK, it is 1 year.. When I RMA'ed my S Class for a cracked 510 connector gasket, (more than likely my fault) I directly contacted YiHi, and they arranged an exchange through one of their distributors in the States. I had a new device in my hand within a week, and that time included me sending the other unit back...

From the few reports of problems people just had to send it back to the vendor. The vendors have all been quick to send another back. I didn't know the M class had a three month warranty, the S class has a one year.

That sounds like a smooth process though

I could be mistaken on the 3 months but I think it was Mike Vapes first impressions review that said it was a 3 month warranty but he was an avid S class owner and maybe he just misspoke otherwise it seems like it would have made the complaint issues area.

If it has a 12 month warranty I am sold. I just found the 3 a little weak and was worried being a Chinese mod it might end up being complicated when a warranty issue came up.

The M Class does have a 1 year warranty.. I just checked over @ Varitube:
Thanks

I know sometimes errors happen when they list the specs and info but I hope you are correct and the reviewer just misspoke.

Maybe someone can verify what their card actually says because that is when he said 3 months during the paperwork portion of the impressions review, and I was surprised when I heard it said because that is Sigelei level.

Maybe I better go look at a couple other reviews as well to see if there is a discrepancy on that info.
