Not read the rest of the thread, if you have posted just on the off chance re flash the SX mini, from experience with YiHi boards having had odd issues menus getting stuck, screen orientation wrong, gravity switch not behaving correctly.
This has happened one time a few times on different boards SX350 mini, SX350, SX350 100W and a SX330V2S the re flash fixed them all.
I still find the YiHi boards more reliable on my 4th faulty dna 40 4 out 4 just so fed up with evolv they have played there end game with me.
But like all things vaping weather it be a $10 clone or a $500 bespoke mod you roll the dice.
Let us know how you get on, you may of already returned it, I remember back it the day it took me 4 svoemesto KFL+s before I got one that was 100% that burned them for me.

I kept away from any non domestic vendor postal times then maybe the magic customs charges just not worth it after all the China buys waiting and waiting.

i want to go ahead and do the upgrade but i am a little confused and don't want to mess this up. i thought you were suppossed to remove the battery and attach the cable that way, but with the link setting is there another method for doing this? should i have the power on or off?. if this has been stated then i either missed it or forgot so could someone explain so i don't fry something or ruin this. it would greatly upset me if i messed up this mod especially before i had a second one on hand as insurance. thanks in advance , i have never been what one would call "tech savvy" so after the laughter could someone please help....
just do not flash the wrong firmware! their page is confusing. also do not unplug it or shut off pc until you are sure it is done.
I had a unique situation and could not flash it. so finally I used a unique resolution. that is one thing though. if it says device not found use only usb 2.0 port and unplug everything except keyboard/mouse. it may speak at the base memory address of some mp3 players etc.

when i click where it says to dowmnload the sxi driver first a bunch of gibberish shows up on my screen after i click on the downloaded file. now i am totally confused and feel like i am about to do something to mess it up.orry just don't see how it is so easy for someone like me. on the plus side, i have figured out how to use everything on the sx mini....
is there a way to tell on the sx itself which version of the firmware i have on it?

zerohm, from my untrained eye it looks like it will go back together(and work)- is this the case? otherwise i would be crying a river right now. i mean, it was so young and had so much to look forward to....
yes, it is stupid. download #3 and #4. #4 is a zip file. inside the zip file is a note with a url! copy/paste that url in your browser and download that. install that. connect to the device first. then in the program you just installed "sxi driver" go to update where you will point it to where file #3 that you downloaded is. then proceed with the update.
My video is generating quite a few inquiries related to checking the device for the current version and how to properly update it, so you're not alone peterforpats. I may have to put this on my to-do list for a follow-up vid. In the meantime, I've contacted YiHi and suggested they put only the two files that are relevant to the SXmini in the Download area of the yihisxmini.com site.
Apparently new units are shipping with v1.3 already installed, but I can see this turning into a big question mark with a lot of mini owners when v1.4 comes out.

like retrox, i like this . problem is it might as well be russian. i am that clueless and apologize for that. it is what it is. i will take up retrox's offer for help 'cause i am going to need it!!
