Anyone here have the Beyond vape Solara? I have been considering this one just because I want an authentic dna 30 for my collection. It looks nice, but I am not sold on it being $175 nice. The aluminum frame makes me think of an istick :glare:

I would prefer the X-one by Jemit, but since I cannot find one, and Jemit has yet to accept my FB friend request, I don't think I should hold my breath though :glare: Even as I want a gold one BAD

I'm glad I'm not the only one that thought of the iStick when I first saw the Solara. I agree that the pricing on the Solara is just a bit too much. If you want a DNA30 why don't you get the Vaporshark for $99? Fantastic little device!

Not nearly sexy enough for Ms.Nikki's taste I bet. :D

rounding third and heading home...
The only atty that sits flush on mine (grey no logo)is the atlantis, I've taken it apart already and found that mine only has 2mm of travel in the 510 pin.I ordered another from varitube to see if the newer stock is any better.
this is obvious and i apologize for pointing this out-the sx 510 connection has a very slight bevel at the top this tapers to meet the bottom of the atty. from any distance it looks like something is not flush because the taper makes you think it is not flush. anyway, my silverplay is flus but looks like it is not because of the taper. if it still isn't flush even after noticing the taper well, i can't help-mine is flushwith the slight recess making it seem that it is not flush.

You enjoy the buttons that feel like they should be on a toy?

On the Vaporshark or the SXMini? Neither feels like buttons from toys to me...both are smooth and have a nice feel. The edge goes slightly to the SXMini, but I'm extremely happy with both of them. Have you ever felt the button on a Zmax? Now that's a toy button.

apparently i do-now i am a little too old to remember any of my toys but if you are saying the sx mini is a toy well, i guess i am not too old to start collecting toys again.

edit-"The vapor shark buttons just feel too rattley to me. The sx mini buttons are just perfect. I don't use my rdna 40 anymore. It just doesn't feel right. "
now i am confused-didn't you just say they felt like buttons on a toy? now you are saying they are perfect?
which is it? i think you mis-read my post- i was saying to get the sx mini not 2 vaporsharks.

Ok, so its not just me .. the finish and the way the hardware on the frame is installed makes me see the istick every time I look at it. As for the VS DNA30, see inswva's reply below yours

Had the VS rDNA .. I cannot roll with anything that basic looking, it made me grumpy

I also have a grey no-logo version, and most atty's sit fine. Magma is one exception because of that long neck. Not bad to have a 22 mm washer on hand for the few that won't sit flush though.

I sure did misread. Duh me. That's what happens when I've only gotten 4 hours of sleep a night all this week and on the clock the rest of the time.

My new toy just arrived. Won't have time to play with it till Friday, which is probably best because that's when the new batteries I ordered will arrive. For now I have to content myself with staring at it and fondling it. If it vapes as good as it fondles I will be very happy. :)

A little bit off-topic here, but if you were to want a backup for your SX Mini, wanted said backup to be able to do 30 watts (for Atlantis and SubTank), wanted something fairly small, and wanted to keep it under a $100, what would your pick be, and why?

IPV Mini: form-factor alone. Held/goofed with/vaped on one yesterday evening and likedit. Not nearly as nice as my SX Mini, but not cheap feeling like some were saying. I would put a Mini subtank on this.

SX Zero clone easy ... Sub Tank fits perfectly flush with its diameter and the SX Zero clone vapes really nice. It is presently acting as my back up to the SXmini, these are the two that I am vaping every day. Right now anyway :p

Option #2:
SX 50 Zero clone!!! paired with a fullsize subtank of course :D

Yeah, I can see that...But its WAY too big, tall, and (relatively) fat to ever be confusedwith an iStick, though it is iStick-esque.

Just ordered one of these bad boys last night. I got 15 or so rda but I think I'm going to try the lemo drop first. Time to stalk the mailbox like Vietnam guerrilla warfare. lol

Amen there!! Mine left FL last night. Hope the cold doesn't delay it getting to the freezing Midwest. I'm only 11 hours away by car, so fingers crossed [emoji6]
