Good lord, is this ever going to be available? :D

I am absolutely loving my M Series but would really like to pass on the ML and go right to the Q, but this wait is getting crazy.

Is anyone feeling the same way or am I just nuts? ;)

Yes, I feel the same way. YIHI announced the Q way too early. They should have waited till this month to announce it. As it looks now it's going to be sometime early to mid May before vendors will have them.

I'm thinking it's well worth the wait as long as the QC of this device works the rest of the kinks out. Although I keep trying to "forget" about the order I placed. Yet my mind keeps reminding me of it from time to time. Guess it's fairly common getting antsy over it :).

I'm getting antsy over the SX Pure too. No word when that's going to come out.

According to Perry from Varitube they should ship to sellers in 1-2 weeks. Also frames are titanium color on all Q models. And if you were interested in the Ferrari red I see Varitube just added it to their pre-order on their site.

So they changed the color, but the body is still made of a zinc alloy, and not aluminum, right?
For some reason or another but as hearsay. A reviewer whom had a sample version of this device for a first look. Stated that they were going to change the materials up to weigh it down a bit more. Supposedly the original concept was far to light. Hopefully this might be the case of the on going pre-order.

Then again I've never heard anyone ever say a mod is "too light".

I'm not one of those who necessarily has a problem with lightweight mods. What I do have a problem with is paying ~$200 for a mod with a body made of some cheap zinc alloy, rather than proper 6061 aluminum.

If Lost Vape can do it at that price point, (actually ~$50 less), so could Yihi.

The samples were aluminum. They made the production units out of zinc to make them stronger.

Personally I would rather have it lighter than heavier just for more weight. If it really does make it stronger than that is different but we shall see and either way we get what we get lol.

If so, that is one of the details that will keep me from buying this one. I don't mind zinc alloy in my ~$50 mods, but I expect higher quality materials for ~$200.
Really I am buying the mod for the dual batts yihi mod of course, and to see if the Q board is really much different than the sx350j v2 board. I have been really enjoying the RGX II and so I will be comparing it to that.

I get your point though.

I would rather have it lighter too. I'm not one of those people that think light products feel cheap. I wouldn't mind if they made it out if they made it out of plastic. I recently got a Aspire Plato and the body is plastic and the cover is aluminum. It's incredibly light. It's the lightest mod I ever owned and I like that. :)

I mainly became interested in the Q for its sleek design, the fact it uses dual 18650's, and as an alternative to a DNA200 device.

Then I saw some reviews of the Lost Vape Efusion Duo... and kind of lost interest in the Q. Lipo or dual 18650 powered, (133W is plenty for me ~95% of the time), in an extremely well put together mod with a beautiful anodized aluminum body, for ~$169? Yes, please.

I'd still like a Q, at some point it's pretty far down the list now. Imo Yihi really needs to give customers a bit more for their $200, in today's market.

To each his own, though.

Never heard of the Lost Vape Efusion Duo until now. I read some reviews Origin Vape and they don't sound too good. Users complained the fire button sticks and the 510 connection is crooked so tanks don't sit straight.

The crooked 510 was obviously a one-off that will be repaired/replaced. If the fire button is really a problem it will be fixed. This is a brand new model. Look at the rest of the comments and reviews elsewhere. People love absolutely everything else about this mod, (and I can see why).

Somehow I doubt every Yihi Q will be perfect.

If I didn't have my Hotcig DX200 w/ dual 18650 attachment. I would be all over this in a heart beat. Love the ability to swap out batteries instead of the lipo pack for sure. Plus that abalone looks sweet as far as aesthetics go.

Of course not every Q class will be perfect always something down the line. I'm primarily buying it for the chip (like every one else). Skipped over the 350j-V2 since I heard this was coming out months ago. Unfortunately my 350j-V1 barely sees any use these days so I've had to rely on my IPV5 for my Yihi kick. Just wish Yihi were a bit more competitive in pricing as the rest have shown. Especially since the DNA200/133 could be had for much less. On this I agree completely 100%.

I was considering the Duo when I ordered the Q. I like the Duo for the obvious reasons of both 133w sled and lipo along with all the panels that came with it. At the time I could of grabbed the Duo pre-order for about $130 and some change. I really considered it but I had been hearing about the Q for quite awhile at that point and so I followed that path. Plus truthfully I do favor the top shelf Yihi boards over the Dna200. Don't get me wrong I enjoy my dna200 but use it less, and being a lipo without a rapid charging board it is kind of a drag when it dies.
I know that the Q is not a perfect wishlist but really no mod ever is for me at least, otherwise I would be content with what I already have instead of buying more lol.

I also think that Yihi will have to step up their game, or lower their prices to be competitive. The dna 200 is a solid board, is significantly less costly, and is a wider market since more mods use the board people have a lot more design options for a dna200 versus a strictly Yihi design. I was considering mass produced mods with the previous statements not smaller scale production run modders.

Now let's just hope that Yihi will honor warranties bought under the $199. Probably a pipe dream given that they were adamant about it with the initial sx350j chip.
I did give this some thought too when I ordered. I think with Yihi changing the warranty awhile back to 6mths the issue is less of a concern.

That's another thing... wth is that all about? Refusing to honor the warranty if you didn't pay "enough" for the product? Yihi's already been paid by the retailer, what business is it of theirs how it's priced? Maybe I'm just ignant, but I've never heard of another company pulling crap like that.

I think if push came to shove YIHI would be forced to honor the warranties for those who paid less than retail. Price fixing is illegal in the US. If the situation was brought to the BBB I think YIHI would have to abandon their policy.
