I just don't understand why a lot of those people just didn't send theirs in for a exchange. It seems they just wanted to complain about it and not do anything about it.

I have to agree with that. I don't like reading any Provape threads because they always have hundreds of pages of garbage you have to sort through just to get any useful info.

Yep there is a lot of off topic discussion in most threads such as the Facebook stuff here. One man's "garbage" may be another's "information", such as paint issues or magnets falling off, inaccurate wattage, and etc. Some folks base their buying decisions on what they read in forums and when discussion about possible issues is suppressed the consumer is not given an objective view but a view "through rose-colored glasses" as previously stated.

Customers with issues should definitely send them back for exchange. Consumers, I think, should also communicate with manufacturers when there are issues.

I think it would better serve everybody if threads like this one would also report issues directly to the manufacturer (no matter which one Yihi, HCigar, joyetech, etc.) and ask them to fix them rather than dismissing them off-hand and telling posters to contact the manufacturer instead of posting about them.

Just my opinion....

I also think that opinions are more valuable when they come from actual owners and not those that are self proclaimed authorities.
It would be great to see one of those claiming the wattage unsafe to actually pay for one test and provide professional testing. It would also be great to know how many magnet issues verses how many units have been delivered.
What is also good to know is how the manufacturer deals with problems.
I can state that I know from experience that the M had paint issues with the first release. I also know that Yihi stood behind the problem and resolved the problem. Not once but 2x. My 3rd M class is / has been flawless after 1 yr.
More importantly the chips on every Yihi device still work perfectly.
I wish I could say that about all the failed DNA 30s , 40s.
Still waiting on a resolution and response from the chip manufacturer.

Looking forward to seeing what all of those folks think AFTER they actually own one.

One doesn't have to own one to have an opinion. I too owned a ML and it wasn't for me so I just said it wasn't for me and moved on (with-held my opinion in the ML thread). I guess, to your point, most posters in this thread can't voice a "valuable" opinion either at this point since they too don't have one yet. So do we suppress discussion and opinions? Even the OP of this thread has yet to get his. Those who have gotten them are the ones expressing failed paint and magnet issues and Yihi's own video shows the wattage inaccuracy.

This was/is a discussion thread started in January as a discussion/anticipation thread so there could be discussion. Can we discuss the Q? It is still a discussion/anticipation thread for most as most don't have a Q either. Do we forbid opinions? Or should we limit any opinions/discussion only to those who own one?

Battery safety goes hand-in-hand with vaping. I am not an expert in the subject but have talked with engineers who have/do design vaping devices and they design around safe operation within the limits of the current batteries available. I guess they can't have an opinion either since they don't own a Q?

So opinions based on opinions which are based on opinions of others that don't own the device is the basis for a viable discussion ? I read , I know I heard from those that have no first hand experience with a product is the same as group of old women talking about someone they met once 5 yrs ago.
Maybe those old bags should find another Mah-Jong to play in

I've only heard of one magnet issue from a hater that I wouldn't believe a word he said. Loose magnets are easily fixed with some glue. No need to make a big issue about it. :)

Pick any Sony VTC battery, review the specifications, review this video, do your own calculations from the content of the video and battery specifications, talk to any engineer who designs devices you want, take the time to ask Yihi specific questions, and form your own opinion. I will be interested in discussing your opinion and research results. If you own a Q you can do the same test Yihi did but that would be redundant as they already did the test.

I do own the Q. No paint , magnet issues. Fires at 200 watts. I'm happy with every aspect of the device.

I wish you all the best.

hum... hadn't seen that guys post but went and found it after you posted... 4 magnets fell off his... others have also posted about the magnets. The one I referenced was a guy that had one magnet fall off and he showed pictures of it ( it was a red Q if that matters ). At least he didn't loose the magnet when they fell off. I won't comment on your posted personal attack against the poster you mentioned.

You are correct that gluing magnets may be easily fixed and not a fatal flaw, but on a 200 dollar mod it shouldn't even become necessary in my opinion...

It appears that Yihi is in search of a perfect vape experience as shown on their web site:

THE RELENTLESS PURSUIT OF PERFECT VAPE EXPERIENCE

YiHi SXmini Q Class Powered by SX450J

I hope they achieve their goal.....

yes

Not sure what all the fuss is about here. SX Q owner here and it's a lovely piece. Very light yet not cheap. Lighter than my M class versions with only one battery. Has done everything I expect it to. No complaints about paint chips. The doors seem clickety at first but settled down within the first day of using it. No more clickety sound.
Extremely happy with it. Joined that SX group on FB. Know no one but have found, who I guess here is JazzyJag70 welcoming and helpful. Guess this is just the usual infighting found on vape forums. lol

Well I came to this thread to read more about how people are liking their Q but it seems like everyone is nitpicking about the price. Anyone who is an SX freak like me would know that YiHi fixes the price and $199 is it with every mod I have ever bought from clear back when I bought my Sclass Which looks like hell but works like heaven for a VW only mod. I want to get 2 more mods and I'm trying to decide between 4 an IPV5 which is being closed out and it really cheap now, they are coming out with 3 new ones but there are some glitches in the new ones so MVS won't carry them or take preorders till they get that straightened out but still a couple places for $42, the Cool Fire 4 TC18650, or bite the bullet and get 2 more SX's which I have 7 of so far. I think I like my ML the best of all but the M is no slouch either though then I can't decide whether I should get a couple more ML's or Q's. I have no need for 200w but it would only be $40 more for them. I usually vape around 22J with Ti and have been trying out SS316L but I feel like the TC works better on the Ti although it works good on the SX's I have a couple of Joyetech and SS doesn't work well on those at all they SX's are right on at TCR 00092. I have never had one fail on me yet and have been a fan and user since they first came out so I'm used to the prices, its always the same I was surprised they didn't up it a little with the Q but same as all the others. Any suggestions. As far as the cheaper ones I picked the IPV5 because it uses a YiHi chip and I know how accurate they are I also thought about a DNA75 quite a few of those out there but since I bought one of the first DNA40's that came out, what a nightmare and haven't trusted them since even though I know they are much more reliable then they were and they made a lot of advancements and they are only about $75. I have a really hard time making up my mind.

Since you are a "fan" of Yihi and already have 7 SX's and want two more mods then I would guess your decision can be a couple Q's.

Not gonna comment on the others as this is a SX-Q thread.... :)

Enjoy which ever ones you grab... And BE SAFE by vaping within the safe limits of the batteries you use.... :)

Yes I'm trying to decide of a couple more SX ML's or the Q I am really happy with my ML it's slightly smaller and does temp faster then the M slightly just don't know if I would ever need the Q.

Yep, I see your dilemma.... I had a ML and don't have a Q so maybe someone here who has both can share the difference between the ML and Q. I think the only difference is the 450 board in the Q, the enclosure, and dual batteries but don't hold me to that... :)

Good luck....:)

I would buy 1 ML and the Q. I still love my MLs and use them as often as the Q. The Q is great and you should get 2 plus days of use based on your power preferences. Unless of course you Vape an extraordinary amount of juice on a daily basis.
I don't really use the SXQI much. The dual flavor settings aren't very important at this moment in time.
Either way you are buying the best on the market today.

    2legs,
since the inventory of mods you've mentioned are single 18650's I'd suggest getting the "Q" as well because there may come a time when you ether want to venture into using dual coil builds or want more run time the 2x18650's are a good way to go.

I've been eyeing the RED "Q" and just waiting for more folks to have them in hand and vendors to get stock of the RED ones before placing an order.

I really don't need another mod however most if not all my vaping purchases over the last year were not based on need. ;)

Yeah I hear ya George. I just ordered 2 Aug Vape Merlins but they are pretty much a single coil mod. The design on them is a velocity deck but it is set on one side. I've been hearing good reviews on them. They will take quite a large coil like a 3.5 or even a 4mm or you can use them with a smaller and they have a little screw in thing on the deck that either restricts your air flow or if you take it out opens it up really big. I know this is a Q thread but I got 2 black ones I think they are going to look really great on my SX's. Eciggity carries them.

I have the Merlin. Great tank. Makes me laugh every time I use it that I can get such a great Vape from a 25 dollar tank.
    You're going to love it
