I've thought I was there before but.....

I just bought 3 aromamizers, bought a crown tank last week, waiting on 3 more dna200 setups (still not sure why), and I'm itching to get more taifuns.

Found a great way to wick the Taifun GSII this morning with Rayon.

Instead of using the PTFE Tubes or Mesh Straws all I did was split the wick in half, trim the bottom tails to just sit in the juice well then pull the other half up through the feed holes. Trimmed quite close and spread flat. Juiced up and working perfectly without a dry hit or leak.

Pull the other half of the wick through these holes and trim.

The only issue will be if you need to get at the coil, you will have to rewick afterwards.

Cool

I tried something like that, wasn't impressed with the results. What do you think of it?

I've got mixed feelings about it right now, but I'm not finished yet. I sort of wanted to do the same thing as I did with these non-rebuildable coil heads. I loved how they work.

I am so glad you posted this. I want to rebuild coils for my crown, I think its a great tank, but the rba deck sucks compared to the premade coils. I already know you made that tool, I wonder how I can achieve the same results without it.

did you use SS wire? which one?

No, I used Ni200 26 gauge, I don't like using SS, for some reason. Oh, I know why, because it reminds me of WW2 and I'm juwish. :danger:

I have all my atties except the drippers, with Stainless wire. I dont use TC on the one reg device I use. I dont see any difference in taste and it being 28 gauge it heats fast and I get to double my wraps which I think adds to the density of my clouds, which I like.

So far Im really liking the stainless wire. Im tempted to clear out my vape box a bit and sell off my some of my kanthal, but hesitate because one never knows when it might become something "rare"

I do fell like I should order another 1lb of the stainless while the price is still cheap.

Is it really 2500ft or was that a typo for 250ft?

Its 1 lb, and it is just over with the spool. Its a whole lotta wire and if it has a longer coil life, I probably have enough for the rest of my days.

I am going to eventually teach my boyfriend how to rebuild so I might need some "teaching" extra.

PS. just went to see how many they had left and only 3 left , so went ahead and got another.

Now I have guilt. :(
You shouldn't have any guilt.
I don't associate the letters SS with the Schutzstaffel unless they are in the sig rune format.
These days SS means Stainless Steel and Solid State to me.

Previously they stood for Super Stock.

and Super Sport.

MY gosh you will have wire forever. That is rather high shipping charges though isn't it?
