So I received my Shenray GSL yesterday and just about left it in the box when I seen that the air outlet between the posts was only 1.85 mm. Then I thought maybe with the three holed upper AC ring it would be airy enough, it is.
These are some of the good points that I observed, the 510 screw is silver plated brass, that's a plus for a temp controlled device. The post and their screws are real good also.
I'll get to the "bad" parts here now.
The o-ring that seals the bottom of the
tank was completely under the upper AC ring. Also it appeared that the
tank with chimney tube wasn't screwing on far enough to put the chimney tube's small o-ring inside the chamber's cap. I corrected this by sanding the upper side of the upper AC ring. I had to do almost the same to my 19 mm Hotcig GS2.
In the end all is well.
Leave off the upper AC ring and screw on the
tank to see where it needs to be.
Oh, I was having leaking problems till I did the above, that was after wicking it 3 times as I thought that that was the problem.
So my recommendation is if you must have a 23 mm it's either this or the original but the best buy is one of the 22 mm models, they have slightly better performance due to increased air flow...IMO (of coarse)
