Then I really would not worry too much over a 0.0x ohm variation on a Kanthal build. Just put your spring back in and reboot your OCD engine...I am not planning any TC with this Taifun, just Kanthal builds.

Sounds like a plan.Nope (though I might drop it on the floor due to bad tactile feed back), it's still on there and in good (Cleaned) shape, it's just that now that I have gone thru all my rta/rda/Clearo's I find that this Taifun is the only one that has a spring in the 510, and even tightened down the screw still sits proud of the threads about 0.25mm. On my Cuboid (where it will prolly reside, forever, it just looks good to me) I have .5mm to .75mm of contact with the Cuboid 510 pin before it is fully tightened down. I can put (1) .5mm spacer (but not (2)) under the Taifun base and still make Taifun 510 screw to 510 pin contact on my Cuboid. As I look at the 510 arrangement on the Taifun, I can't see a need for the spring with the shallow 510 pin socket on the Cuboid (if I am tightening the screw down tight anyway, as you alluded to also), but I'll keep the spring in the little baggie of spare o-rings that came with the Taifun so if for some reason I do need it in the future, I have it. I am not planning any TC with this Taifun, just Kanthal builds.

I decided to try pulling it out, and kept getting small chuncks, tried it again, and it was just like trying to sip on a real thick shake.
Tried to pull it out with a fine dremmel by making it stick, but no go.
Tried tweezers again, nope. Needle poked myself and bled. Tried a dental pick and tiny flat head , almost got it with the tiny flat head.
So I thought what about shaking it out? I put it in hot water with Dawn and put it in the ultrasound tank for half hour?
Got better airflow. Then I thought , blow it out. Used my DataVac and blew chunks, but in a good way. I almost got a fragment in my eye, USE YOUR SAFETY Goggles.
Im happy now
Glad you got it resolved! I know yours are authentic, that would hurt (messing up an expensive base like that)... If at first you don't succeed, try until it's fixed or COMPLETELY broken...that's my motto![]()
Correct, Hotcig is the only one that I know of that makes a TGT2 with removable deck.....so far anyway. The best I can see from reading past posts is this TGT-T V2 does NOT have a removable deck like the Hotcig TGT-V2-S does, correct ??

I have received my order in as little as four days (really 5) from acceptance to as long as 45 days. Usually 10 - 12 daysBTW, I ordered all the above from FT on 03-12-16 and it just got here on the 28th, so 16 days to my door. That's a new record for any order I have gotten from FT, it usually takes 26/28 days from order to my door (that's for items that are in stock and ready to ship). I think that someone somewhere screwed up.I won't complain though, I'm Happy
.
That was back in the days when they got caught the 2nd time shipping lithium batteries via Hong Kong Post.As long as 45 days to California, I would hate to think how long that would turn out to be to get to Minnesota. WoW !!!![]()
