I'm sorry for all my questions but I'm stoked with my taifun 
with my kfl, when I'm on a plane, it leaks like... What is the situation with the taifun?
And i have not tested the base. It was paid on the 19.11.2013 and it's supposed to be ss. I doubt that

Mine (using your format) was ordered on 19.11.2013 and had the brass deck, I complained about it before I received it and they sent me a ss base replacement. They ran out of those rather quickly. So yes your deck is probably the brass one.
But I am using the brass one for my Taifun "the Dripper"

It leaks because of the air pressure.
All tanks will do that.
I got my TGT clone from vaporbreak last week, slapped a 2 ohm microcoil with 30awg kanthal and cotton and it's been working flawlessly since day 1. I decided to go with vaporbreak because they have stock and ship in 24hs and while i love FT i don't like to wait for their estimated shipping times

I just had one of those rare FT moments. My last TGT clone was accepted by China Post on April 12th and delivered today April 17 using their standard e packet.
Hopefully that's the method used on the black Fogger v4 that I have coming.

I set my latest TGT clone up with 2 mm Ecowool , this is a first for me. I was concerned about possible flooding or dry hits but it seems successful. Now to determine if I like it better than 3 mm regular silica. On both I have a short 2nd piece inside the coil on top of the regular piece of wick. I use silica in all my tanks with a non-micro coil and micro's and cotton for my drippers.

Ok, its official. Bap has made me super jealous. I'd LOVE to have a Black Taifun! How hard is it to Cerakote? If you want to try another one, PM me and I'll send you one of mine to Cerakote too
@Bapgood, whatever happened to that mod you made with the 26650? With the screen and battery vertical? LOOKS AWESOME, I'd love to one of those in 18650 configuration
Are you using the hollow or filled ekowool? I have some 2mm of the filled and have used that without any "flavor wick" on top with great success.
By golly I would have said hollow but decided to double check first, it's filled but with cotton or silica I have no idea.
On second thought it must be stuffed with silica 'cause I torched the entire length of the piece that I used for the wick.

I've had much more success with cotton vs ekowool/silica.... And then theres that synthentic taste silica & ekowool introduce....
I did do this, speaking of hollow ekowool... I stuffed the ekowool with peaches & cream cotton yarn. I think it was 3mm hollow ekowool... worked and wicked fine, just the taste. Once you've used cotton, its hard to go back. Though I've read some people had problems with cotton, not sure what exactly though....
