I was just reading on the rayon thread and curious how it worked in the TGT? Let us know how you like it in the long run.

I ran out an picked up some Rayon from Sallys last week. When I came home, had vapemail waiting with a TGT inside. So I can say I've never had anything but Rayon in it. As you read the Rayon thread, you know you need to pack Rayon pretty thick in the coil, and also in the TGT juice ports/channels, as it doesn't expand like cotton. I leave my wicks sticking out of the holes, just long enough to reach down to the bottom of the tank.
Not a single gurgle, leak, or dry hit. In fact, its almost a perfect vape.

Here's a .6 ohm vertical filled with hemp fiber 26awg 5/64 ID coil
Notice the tails in the channels, no leakage

For those of you without air tubes installed, how do you fight against gurgle?

I took outta air tube and insulator, and I'm fine for about ten puffs. Then the vapor condensation makes liquid in the chimney area and gives me gurgling.

maybe my results are because i only vape sub-ohm?......
idk but i dont have gurgling issues and ive went so far as drilling the airways out.
even have dual coils on it now and no gurgling.

I'm running a .9 ohm coil, 26 gauge, rayon wicks, 30pg70vg juice. I've tried Vaping at 20 watts and 12 and in between. Still lots if gurgle. When I have the air tube installed I get no gurgle. I guess I'll put it back when this tank is out if juice.

try putting a small piece of wick on top of your wick that goes out onto tank.....
maybe you just quite dont have enough between chamber and tank?
just an idea

I took the tube out and never had a problem, then this morning i wanted more airflow so I took the insulatorout as well and im not getting any gurgleing or anything that you have

Big difference? I have the tube out and left the insulator in wondering how much of a difference there actually is.

I will try both when its empty. Thanks for the tip.

I put some extra wick on top, only where the top if the chimney meets the bottom, leaving the area on top of the actual coil untouched. Seems to help a little, but still gurgling. And I noticed its not wicking as well and I get a dry hit when Vaping too frequently. A dry hit on rayon is much more forgiving vs cotton. A lot less harsh, I just get a slightly burnt taste then wait for the wicks to catch up.

So, I've been on this thread before awhile back. Decided I need to come visit more often since I so love my TGT.

I do have an issue that is new that I'm hoping someone can figure out for me.

I've had my TGT (authentic, if that makes a difference) for several months now (3-4) and it has performed beautifully every time. No issues. Well, today it has decided that when I screw my tank on, right when its -almost- completely screwed down to the base, it twists my 'chamber' (For lack of better word. The part that moved up and down containing the deck inside.), which results in my wick getting pulled in or wicking issues in general.

I've tried drying juice off of the O-rings at the base of the chamber-sleeve, lubing up the Oring on the 'stem' that connects to the top cap, and checking to make sure everyting was where it was meant to be.

So, I'm stumped. What says you, TGT Clan? lol

I've had this problem too, and I'm not stupid, nor are you. I have found that this does happen with tanks in use, where it never happened before. I use the mini tank, the standard steel/plastic tank, the clear tank, etc. I like the clear on the bottom the best because I can carefully watch to see if my wicks are catching (friction) on the sides of the tank, which will strip the wick into the chamber every time. Also, I first watch to make sure my chimney threads properly into the top of the chamber where the tube meets the chimney. I've seen the tube push the chamber down many times, so I watch for it now, and just correct it before inverting the tank, or rather, righting the tank.

The first reason for the chamber twist is that the wicks are too long. Easy fix. However, that's not the only time this happens. Sometimes when the o-ring is too dry, I'll see the chamber twist. Sometimes, it seems like the tube is too dry and hangs up on the O-rings, and then I've seen the chamber turn/twist. For these reasons, I now use a clear long and clear mini tank and just watch for the low chamber, the pushed chamber, and the twisted chamber. Those will all cause leaking after a few vapes. If it happened every time, or just with certain tanks, perhaps I could tell you why it happens definitively. It's hit or miss, mostly miss, but it does happen, and usually when I get behind the wheel to drive, it seems, when I'm least able to fix the problem, or even wipe the da** thing off.

I don't know if this helps at all, but rest assured, you are not alone! Best.

If the chamber is able to be turned excessively easy it may be time to replace the o-ring that holds it in place.
