I'm curious, is the collar and chamber cap much different from the v1 to the v2?

My retrofit v1 with v2 base works fine, the collar is a little tight but works fine.

I couldn't imagine the v2 collar and chamber cap making much (if any) difference?

The difference, when properly done, lies with the way the cap fits onto the sleeve.
The area on the sleeve where the o-ring of the cap seals against is greater in depth making it so the cap can be screwed on all the way or only part way to adjust the length of the wick holes and still maintain the seal. They should interchange just fine except for that.

Can you tell them apart? I have ordered (from FT) a VT2 base, and 2 sleeve/caps. Nothing I hate more than having to wash things separately so parts do not get mixed up

In the first picture, notice the smooth area in the top where the o-ring on the cap seals against, see how shallow it is? (TGT 1)

in the second picture look at the same place, notice how much deeper it is.

There are some differences with the caps but the easiest way is the TGT 1 has NO knurling and the TGT II HAS knurling.

2mm mandrel. One layer of mesh and one layer of the OC. Cut so ends just touch when wrapped on mandrel. OC is the outside layer of a pad.

Gives a hollow core so the juice can soak through evenly and have the same and shortest wick length to every wrap and every point on each wrap of the coil.

For Phone Guy, I've had 3 Dalmatians. My favorite breed actually. I don't have one now only because they are too energetic for me these days. Highly intelligent, but high energy dogs that need a job to give them something to do. They were bred to run along carriages, and provide protection. We no longer travel by carriage so they aren't running for miles a day. They are definitely not a breed for everyone, and I understand that.

These days I have a Cane Corso Italiano. Now that she's an adult, she's mostly a big lug and more my current speed

I, on the other hand, have just been very lucky and managed to solve the DNA40 temp protection problem we PM'd about. It was all caused by poor wicking. Nothing to do with the electrics at all and I'm appalled at my rookiness. I may have to claim Alzheimer's on that one!

I bought mine (2080500) the first day it was listed, all I got was the frosted PC tank sleeve that it was wearing. Just as the listing shows. I kind of wondered why the price was so much higher.

So after checking the reviews of it on the FT forum, there are quite a few folks mentioning the bell tank and extra PC tank. I may open a ticket even though it's not in the description. Probably the only way I'll get an extra thin glass sleeve.

I hope you mean the air inlet holes (5 on each side) I used a Dremel with a cit off wheel to slot mine. Look back in this thread, the results put it on par with a Lemo if something like that is the desired result.
The 3 mm hole in the deck splits in a "Y" inside so not much to do there. The chimney stem is going to be the bottle neck in the end, not much can be done there either.

Before the application just wanting to clear out;

I got less vapor than kf lite, with 2.5 mm diameter coil wicked rayon, is it usual ?

I find that the way it comes, 3 mm hole in deck, sort of in the middle between mouth hitting and lung hitting. not good at either. So slot the air hole or put in the plastic tube tho make it one or the other.
If you want it to vape more like the Kayfun I recommend putting in the reducer.

It turns it into a very good lung hitter, seems to have more flavor than some of the other big air atties.

Looks like I need to try this. The base doesn't come apart, how do you clean any debris out? (from the grinding)

When done with a Dremel cut off wheel, I use 2 thin ones stacked together, there is only a fine dust. The slots are big enough to rinse it out with soap and water.
