additional GTIII details:

- planned release 01.10.2016
- Liquid Control realized via driptip
- TopFilling
- side-feeding channels at the bottom of the tank
- deck (no pics yet) similar to the GSII/GSL (side-feeding instead of top)
- Air Flow ring with 2x2 sets of holes (small & large hole set for M2L/DL)
- Air Channel beneath the coil: 3.5mm but with M2L-Kit included (think Kayfun5)

Side feeding sound interesting....

Here are the pics of the 19mm GS II's base.
I removed all the screws and o-rings. Placed the base loosely between the jaws of my vise with the it's shoulders just resting on the jaw edges. Tapped on the 510 pin screw with a drift pin until the deck section came out, which was only a couple of good taps.

Be careful of the o-ring in the base over the 510 pin hole, it is not secured in place.

The two angles holes are the air feed.
The small Teflon washer goes between the deck top and the round 510 block.

I didn't do any modification to the air flow as I don't really have the proper setup to do it. Just using the Dremel by hand would have ended up in a mess. ;)

I pressed it back together and all is working again.

Interesting. These things are never exactly designed the way I expect. I thanks for the pics!

I've been working with a Merlin off and on here lately. I've went back to my Trusted Taifun GT-2 parts rta from FT, GT-2-S, Erlk (all clones) and just bought 2 more Lemo V1's. I think I will just Stop experimenting with different rta's and keep to what works best for me (as listed above) Lemo V1, Taifun GT-2 and Erlk and save some money.

This is really close to the insides of a TGTII-S by Hotcig.
I've gone back to them after doing some modifications, I still need to do some more to one of them. I'll get some photos up when I get back to that one.
My Bellus' and K5's are now "out of service"

Had to take an emergency flight to So Cal (from Georgia-long flight) taifuns did great. They were in baggies in my carry on. Very minor leakage. YES, I did vape in the bathroom and probably will on the way back.
How'd you get the mod on the plane? I thought they were a no-no.? I never travel so I wouldn't know, just curious.

Hope everything's ok too!

Mods HAVE to go on the plane. Any mod with batts in them at least. Lithium batteries are not allowed in the fuselage. You can pack a nap sack chock full of em and bring em on the plane. All your liquids just have to adhere to the general liquid protocol establisted by the TSA.

I do like you're style chanelvaps. After I tried to set off my house Smoke Detector (blowing big 'ol Clouds up into it), With NO luck, I now vape in Hotels, Motels and such. When I was in the Hospital last year I even vaped in the bathroom of my room when the Nurses weren't looking. Too many Damned rules in life anymore. I don't blow Big 'ol Clouds with my Taifuns, Lemo's, or ErlK's anyways, so what's the harm. I always also check for a Video feed whenever I do that, just in case you know.

Just keep in mind that there are two types of smoke detectors. The one that sends a beam of light inside the housing to a receiver that's offset will be the type that you will be able to set off. Smoke or "fog" bends the light causing it to be directed into the receiver. I learned this the hard way, 80 units of wealthy elderly filing out into the cold of night.
BTW, I didn't get caught, I made a deal with the firemen.

Oops !! Thanks for the Heads UP. I must have the cheap, K-Mart Blue light special type of Smoke Detectors in my house.

Yes you are so right! I vaped in the elevator of a church that I went to for a 12 step meeting. Evacuated the whole church including the school. Mortified. Of course I never told anyone.

I packed lots of vape gear. It is a stressful trip. My mom is pretty sick. Packed 3 mods, batteries removed and in a plastic box in a plastic bag. Packed an I stick and 3 taifuns with juice in them in a clear Baggie. All of that was in my carry on.
In my checked bag I carried 2 separate baggies each containing 4 30ml bottles. That was the only thing I was not positive I was allowed. It made the trip thankfully because I would have hated to have all that juice tossed.

What is going on with the manufacturer?

I've had my authentic TGTII for a bit over a year and a half. I love it, but it's hard as hell to get replacement parts.

One screw is almost completely stripped on top, and I just used some replacement glass I had when the tank cracked. I tried to order screws last month but PayPal wouldnt go through on their site, and now I need to get some backup glass and they're out of stock. I can't seem to locate any other dealer that has authentic parts either. I don't know if clone parts will work or not. It's almost enough to make me try to find a new brand to switch to.

I just need glass and screws. Why is this so difficult? Anyone else having these troubles? Any advice?

I haven't been following any innovations in the ecig world since I found what works for me. Is the TGTII still relevant, or has the world moved on?
