I have a Nitecore D2 which will take all sizes, but I leave the 26650 in the VT75 for charging. I find it too fiddly to take the battery out and adjust the base cap/tension screw when putting it back.

The DNA75 has a nice 1A USB charger built in, it auto detects the input current and adjusts the charging accordingly.

We'll then maybe I'll just pick up a 26650 and charge it in the device. That's simple enough.

I have read that complaint several times from different people that have gotten one, that's why I am still looking and haven't actually gotten one myself. We will see though.

You should have a look at this. :)
4 different Air Screw holes, smallest one is 1.2mm (up to 2.1mm, or with the clone up to 2.9mm).

Well now, BIG I asked for and BIG is what you gave me. That Fev is half the size of a Billy Club and looks like it could use a set of wheels. What's the weight on that thing ??

I have seen a lot of gunked up coils and wicks on this thread. More than anything I would venture that the juice is mostly to blame. I used to use a lot of NET tobacco juices of a high quality that had a 50/50 mix. Coils and wicks would get coated with gunk daily but I wanted that flavor to get me off tobacco. That was 2½ years ago. Now I make my own spice Horchata juice that is very satisfying and only costs pennies to fill my Taifuns. I mix max VG (flavorings use PG as a base) and use flavorings from Flavour-Arts and other tested clean manufacturers.
For coils I use Titanium @26 gauge anywhere from 3mm to 2.5mm at 40 watts. Easy to clean, responsive and strong. I use Japanese cotton and pack the coils firm. On my authentic GTII I pull the wick past the bushing and prime. When I get the top of the chamber cap screwed on I spread the end of the wick in all directions. This makes a funnel shape and covers any gaps where juice might flow freely into the chamber and cause flooding. My authentic GSL is a more open draw and incredible flavor!
To power up these two tanks I use the Vapor Flask 2.1 with temp control "off" at 35-40 watts. I pay little attention to ohms but rather size of coil. My "go to" mod is the Dicodes No.6 because it delivers power to the Taifuns extremely smoothly. The "Ti" temp control set to 420-480deg. I use the Vapor Flasks out in the field mostly.
Both Taifuns are super stable in temp control and very versatile as far as tailoring your draw.
The juice I make has the best flavor at higher temps. Extremely high quality and much, much cheaper.
I only change wicks and clean coils every few days or when flavor is muted.
The money I save on juice let's me buy authentic RTA's from Europe and great mods.
My other and possibly favorite tank is the Vapor Giant mini 2.5 with the "Wide Open Draw Kit" installed. I have this tank down so well I don't even close the juice control when refilling (top fill). No leaks!

If you flip the AFC ring over on the Genelocity Giant there is a single cyclops hole for single coil use and a single 2mm hole that corresponds to stepped drilled holes in the top cap. You could dial it down quite tight for airflow using the single hole option.

If you look at the picture of the regular Genelocity top cap you can see the single hole option, it is the same on the giant.

The only problem with the Giant version is it's 15mm between the posts so putting a small MTL coil in there with a matching airflow would be quite the challenge.

That is a common issue with Chinese enlarged versions of existing RTAs. Too make them bigger they just hit enlarge button and don't realize that some things should not be enlarged. I think the GS II had that problem when they increased it from 19mm with the juice flow holes.

Thank You for that insight TrollDragon, I appreciate that. I think I will go in the direction of the Fev V4 with the Long option included over at Focal, and If I'm smart enough to get it up and running the way that I like, then the dD will be on my radar.

Just looking on pictures: positive screw looks awful, ready for shorts. I would not buy it until I see dozens of positive reviews. And why do they not follow trend in making it easy to catch a wire under a screw? May be I'll skip this one even with positive reviews. Kayfun 5 is so easy to recoil that I retired my Taifun for now, even if I like its vaping qualities (convenience is high on my priorities list). Will wait for the next version.
