Hey DW, do you know what the I.D. of the air tube (between the Phillips screws) is ?? I've seen 3.5mm and 4mm listed on page #245. I've got 1.6mm x 3.17mm, 2mm x 3mm, 2mm x 4mm (I.D. x O.D.) FEP and PTFE (I think they are, without going and looking) tubing in my parts cabinet.

I have a TGT III clone coming from FT. With all this talk I have caught Taifun fever again. I decided to modify one of my TGT II S' a bit more.
Working on the sleeve some more I deepened the wick slots more as well as widened them just a bit more. Bingo. It's wicked pretty much how you wick a Kanger v2 rba head. I'm quite pleased, now to see that it is leak resistant.

Oh BTW, I see that they are still using the same 510 scew/spring setup on the 3, that will have to go for good TC.

I wonder why they decided to keep using that spring setup for the 510 pin even though Temp Control is so prevalent now a days. There has to be a better way of doing that, one would think.

The purpose is to make it adjustable. Couple that with a spring loaded 510 and trouble may occur.
Back a few pages is my fix for it.

For TC:
I wouldn't call the 510 adjustable, you really need to tight it down. It's rock-solid in this case though.
I wouldn't call it adjustable but the manufacturer does, quite poor really for adjustment.
Below is a picture of the TGT III 510 and TGT II 510.
On the TGT II the screws head drew tight against it's insulator causing it to be recessed in the 510 when tightened all the way in.
The TGT III appears a bit different, the screws head looks like it will tighten against the end of the tube that it screws into. I think it will be OK as Baseman says.
Here's TGT II

And TGT III

The electrical path goes through the 510 screw primarily and the spring just keeps tension on the screw. It works very well. The electrical path is direct and straight - not complex at all. A nice clean current. I have only used Ti coils and the GTIII has proven rock solid and responsive.

Does anyone know if there is a website for the manufacturer of Taifuns?

Thanks 52andone for the link. So tempted to pick up the alternate tank shield. Partly for the "look" but mostly for sighting the juice ports. I will wait and order spares and a bunch of stuff to justify the shipping.

The Taifun GTIII is selling out very fast all over. I showed mine to my friend here in Seattle and he had to order his from Athens, Greece (The Vapers Boutique)!! He talked with the owner viá Facebook messenger. The owner said it would be in Seattle Wednesday!!!

Well 3fvape has a black TGT III....so I ordered it....along with 5 glass tanks....they look thin....they better be, I have a bunch of thick ones.
Like I really need more stuff....(more like want)
Oh, for the record, I've never broken a glass tank yet. Probably because I have spares.
