Take my Bookmarks- Please!!

My computer crashed once since I've started vaping, and I still have a HUGE bookmarks folder, Lol. I can't imagine what people that are really into vaping must have in theirs. I only order stuff maybe thrice a year.

Between vaping and my 3d Art stuff my bookmarks folder is hosed completely. TO make it worse I haven't figured out how Firefox lets me get into the actual folder to organize them without moving them one by one in the bookmarks list.

This isn't my first time of getting into something new so I have been trying to keep my bookmarks better organized from the start. It's sorta working but they are still somewhat a mess.

go to bookmarks/show all bookmarks. it gives you a nice window with a folder tree to work with

also if you have a lot of bookmarks make sure to back them up. couple times a year i back them up with other stuff to anexternal drive.

holding the shift key will allow you to select multiple marks to cut/move

in the bookmarks right clicking a folder then sort by name will sort everything within the folder chosen.

I gave up on browser bookmarks a while back. Now I use Google bookmarks. When I get a new computer I don't lose them and I can also access them from anywhere else too, like at a friend's house or the library.

go to bookmarks/show all bookmars there is a button up top that says import and backup click it and it will ask for the folder you want the back up in.

toss that folder onto a thumbdrive and good to go on any FF equipped PC

I love FF so many options and spam controls, never had a hijacking and with a couple addons you can stop all tracking (something you cant escape using google)

There's also a FF extension called xmarks that backs them up when you close FF. It also keeps them synced between multiple computers.

I just put Chrome on my wifes side of the computer for a certain PDF file from her work, and I swear it has slowed down my FF on this side ! ( I have 2 Gmail tabs open always)

Lol, a few years back I took the BM folder and emailed it to myself. When that computer crashed I got on my new one and opened the email and only the BM names were in there- no actual links.

I've given up keeping track of 'bookmarks'. Now, I just create a shortcut in a folder on my computer for whatever category. Then I back up my computer from time to time.

instead of bookmarking everything i pin it on pinterest. i never heard of google bookmarks though, i'll have to check that out

Adding to Google Bookmarks can be a pain. I use Shareaholic with it. I have Shareaholic added as an icon across the top of my Chrome, (not sure what those are called, extensions maybe?) Then when I'm on a page I want to bookmark, I just click the icon, choose Google Bookmarks, and it opens another tab with the Google BM page and just click save.
