Wow.. What a difference not smoking an analog in over 17 hours can make. I had no idea that the taste of analogs would start drifting out of my mouth that quickly.. I decided to go ahead and light one up a few minutes ago just to see what it would be like after not having one for almost a full day. Immediately after taking two drags from it I put it right back out. The taste was absolutely horrible.. Nothing like I remember it being yesterday morning haha.

I can't wait until I'm 100% completely off of analogs for a long period of time. I plan to keep this almost-empty pack around just to see what the taste will be like in a couple weeks' time. Just to remind myself of how far I've come from now smoking analogs.

Man it's weird.. I almost felt insanely guilty lighting an analog up.. Kind of like I was cheating on Vapor4Life and my awesome new VaporKing gadget. :)

It has been three months for me... and I still have half a pack in a ziplock bag in the freezer. I wonder how long I will hold on to it? LOL

Good luck making the transtion!!!

:)

Wow, I'm not the only one with an opened pack in a ziplock bag in the freezer? !! It's only been 3 weeks for me, but I can't stomach the thought of lighting one, or dragging on it. I've wondered how long that pack will sit in there too.

I'm planning on it becoming an institution in there :)

OP - Good luck! It's been life changing for me in just this short time, you'll do great! Vaping tastes/feels/is so much better than smoking ever was!

Thanks guys! I'm definitely enjoying this new experience in getting my nicotine fix.. I'm still fighting off the urge to actually just light up an analog, but I keep reminding myself that I've already gone over a full day without actually smoking one - so it would make no sense to start now. I don't even know why I'm craving an analog.. I get my fix just fine with my eCig.. It's strange. =\

what more than a few ppl on this site do when they get a craving is to drip a drop or two of an insanely high strength (36mg or more) juice and vape that.

Yea, I think that's what I'm going to have to do.. I'm about to look into buying a 901 atty for my KR808D-1 VaporKing Manual setup. Once my nic juice gets here, I'm going to make a small 5mL bottle of high-strength 36mg nic juice to take care of those sharp cravings that I get every now and then.

Thanks for all the warming messages! :) You guys are making me feel like I'd be cheating on all of YOU if I were to start taking cheater-drags off of these analogs I have in the freezer.. :p (Which is a GOOD thing, because you've all been insanely helpful and awesome in my beginner experience!)

I haven't yet smoked an analog since I purchased my device, but I did not commit to ditching analogs completely until Feb 11. Hearing how awful everyone says they taste is almost enough to tempt me to try one, but I've been happy enough with my 510 that I haven't really wanted to.

I still plan on at least lighting an analog 10 minutes before I turn 30 on February 11, just so I can put it out at exactly the moment I turn 30. But from what everyone on here has said, I'll probably gag if I even try to puff on it! I might just let it burn in the ashtray. We'll see.

Early Birthday wishes to You!

I just started vaping last week. I bought it not to quit but because it would let me smoke inside. I mean, who really wants to stand outside when it's 20 degrees out. (I rarely even smoked in my own house due to family considerations!) I tried an analog yesterday for the first time since then. I didn't find it disgusting but I didn't enjoy it.

Of course, after I got home with my new purchase last week I found out NJ included them in the indoor smoking ban!

I didnt quit cigs right away - I went smoke free finally last week tho and today I tried a drag of a cig. I keep some in a drawer and figured if the urge hit Id just have one, no biggie - so I didnt really have an urge - more curiousity - and the first taste, the very FIRST made me want to spit. I actually pulled a face, held the cig away from me and looked at it, probably accusingly lol. It really tasted horrid. I mean disgusting - not even the smoke I inhaled from that ONE puff was nice. ewww.
Don't think I'll be doing that again.
Vaping really does change you!

I know how you feel, pal. That's the exact same reaction I had with that one cigarette. I took a puff and thought, hmm.. That tasted pretty bad, maybe I should try it once more.. Sure enough, tasted even worse. I immediately put it out, picked up my KR8 and laid back, smiling. :D

8-o I still have my tobacco and tubes to make ciggies.... 9 months and counting.

(I moved to "rolling my own" about a month before my total switch to e-cigs, because of the taxes, then they started to tax tobacco through the roof)
