I've have that tool and it does it's job fine. I'm glad that you love it. Like most of these tank tools, their primary purpose is to protect the endcap o-rings when you insert the carto through them.

I had some issues with being able to remove this particular tool back when I was using a carto punch tool to punch my own cartos. Tool-punched cartos can become deformed to an oval shape, sometimes making them difficult to pass through a tight-fitting endcap. I got one of these cartos stuck in an endcap, and had an extremely difficult time removing this tank tool because there was not enough of the tool to grab to pull it off the carto.

Since that experience, I've switched to laser-drilled cartomizers, and gotten the Slap Yo Moma tank tool, which IMHO is a much better design and worth the few extra dollars. It's available in stainless steel, and for a couple dollars less in delrin. I wouldn't be caught without one now.

I need to go Slap Yo Mama!!! That thing is awesome!!! I wonder how well it would work with tanks from High Desert Vapes? No O-rings, but silicone grommets instead.

My tree frog tank is from High Desert. Although the tank tools aren't necessary for these tanks, they will make using the tank easier. The very shape of the tool helps guide the carto into the grommet holes without nudging them off of the tank, like just using the carto alone would.
