Hi All!

I would so appreciate a tank or setup recommendation.

I purchased the Vaporfi Rocket tank and battery January 2016 and all the juice leaks out instantly when I refill it. I've put a total of 2 ea, 10 ml bottles of juice through it (one was a citrus juice). While using the citrus juice the tank started leaking. I changed the atomizer. Then I noticed what appeared to be a buildup at the top and bottom of the tank. I soaked it in vodka. After soaking, a silicone-type material came out of the tank. I suspect the buildup was actually the seal material melting.

I was aware prior to purchasing the Vaporfi Rocket that certain juice favors were not compatible with all tank materials. That's why I purchased the Rocket. The tank was advertised as, "Tank Material: Steel protected Pyrex glass" and "It produces exquisite taste (without any foul burnt flavor) and has been designed to allow your vaping experience to abstain from enduring any leakage."

I've called CS, sent pics, and am now in a marathon email exchange with them. The tank replacement o-rings that their CS said would fix my problem are no where close to the size required. I can't explain what my problem is any clearer to them and it's obvious they don't know their own product. I've purchased another Rocket tank but would like to fix the old one. I'm not asking them to give me a new tank.

I'm searching for a tank that is compatible with all juices. I would like this tank to be compatible with the Rocket battery, if possible.

Should I just start with an entirely different setup? This has been way too frustrating!

If by chance anybody knows how to remove the press-fit top on the Rocket tank (pic attached) and what gasket/seal/o-ring material to use at the top and bottom of the tank, please let me know.

Thank you!

Vapor Fi is overpriced. The Rocket appears to be a rebranded Kanger Emow Mega, which you can get for between 40 - 45 bucks. I started out with Vapor Fi too - when you do a google search they come up as the number one brand. I'd recommend you check out sites like www.myvaporstore.com or sweet-vapes.com for a price comparison.

Can I stay at 18 mg nic with the Eleaf IStick 40W TC & Aspire Nautilus mini or will it be too harsh?
I use 12 mg on the subtank mini at 1.0 ohms and 20 watts, which is the same mg I've been using from the begininng. I don't have experience with the nautilus, but I would guess if you're not sub-ohming and you stayed with lower watts you would be fine. But I would defer to others with more experience, especially with the nautilus.

I am pretty sure you can. You can set it at any power level you'd like. I've got an iStick 30 with a Nautilus Mini and I vape 18 mg. nicotine. I am planning to buy an iStick 40 soon, only because the one I want is only available in the 40 watt version, but I'm not planning to use the higher wattages or the temperature mode. I'm no expert when it comes to this type of thing, but I read about it and learned that I can keep using the Nautilus Mini, and the same coils I use now as long as I don't use the temperature mode or higher wattages on the 40.

Very helpful! Thank you. I got confused because I was comparing this to a sub mod setup and the sub mod recommended no higher than 6 mg. I think I'll be okay with this setup too.

Good. I don't sub-ohm, so don't know much about it except that people can be satisfied with lower nic levels because they inhale more vapor, so even though the juice is lower nic, the amount they ingest is higher.

My daughter just recently treated herself to a Nautilus Mini, and is very pleased with it. She is using it with an Innokin VV v3 - not quite an iStick, but she prefers the "stick" form of battery. She vapes at 18 mg nicotine, and has had less problems with coils flooding and gunking up with the Nautilus Mini than she has had with our Evod Glass tanks.

There are lots of tanks out there that will play nicely. The problem you might find is that your battery isn't up to the job of using the best ones. If you want to stick with the battery, you might need to be careful in your choice. I don't sub-ohm much of the time (sure, I can vape at home at up to some higher levels) but tend to stick with higher Nicotine and lower power. If you can do it, it seems logical *to me*.
Having said that, none of my favorite tanks are going to work to their best of an eGo type battery.

In regard to your ex-vendor.
I took it upon myself to splatter-gun the internet with reviews about bad products, very bad (unfair) prices and appalling customer service and the company that I picked a fight with then asked their lawyers to search me out and threaten me. I had to back down in the end. The disappointment in the products and then discovering the internet is basically not safe from being hounded by greedy and powerful corporations was a wake up call. It has changed my life.
It is also what has motivated me to post almost every day of my non-smoking life on the forums.
Knowing what I know now, I would draw a line underneath it all and start again.
