Any suggestions for a no-maintenance, no-leak, no-crack tank for kretek (clove) juice? My understanding is that by replacing the cartos entirely, the only maintenance would be rinsing and refilling (no soaking, cleaning, etc.) Is this correct? Does anyone make good, stainless steel or preferably, borosilicate glass (pyrex) tanks?

Thanks!

Bechi, I would take a look at Phiniac Pyrex tanks, they are not only super durable but come in amazing hand made designs. Well worth the price I think. I have a few DCT tanks but I am not certain that they would hold up against Clove juice. I know the most common issue with tanks is cinnamon flavors, but not sure on clove.

I'm with sj74. I have several Phiniac tanks! Never had one problem with them. I highly recommend them! Thick pyrex glass. No juice can harm these tanks. Easy to clean. No leaking. Artistically beautiful and totally functional! :)

I agree. Phiniac tanks are great. I've had mine for several months and it's never given me any problems. I've even dropped mine a few times and not even a scratch... and I'm not talking about dropping it from the couch onto a nice carpetted floor, I mean I watched helplessly as the mod rolled off the second story balcony and landed on the concrete patio below. These tanks are made to last.
The major selling point that got me to buy mine is it was the only tank I could find available that would work with L/R or S/R Boge Cartos.

I've been wanting a Phiniac, thanks to this forum! There is a thread here that tells which juices will crack your plastic tank and there are a TON of them! I've already had one clearomizer crack and I lost a lot of juice. I'm even afraid of those big daddy tanks as there is plastic in them and you can't boil them. So, I would think the clove would crack the plastic. Not to mention that they are just as expensive! Initially, I was afraid that I would break the glass by dropping it, but there are a lot of torture test vids out there, and they seem virtually indestructible! Good Luck!
