Hey I have a slight issue. I love vaping. I am new to it. I used to smoke a lot of cigars and some hookah with friends but recently switched to this instead to make it healthier and it doesn't ruin my breath or clothes.... Now my problem is that I Vape a ton. All the time. :vapor::vapor:
I HATE filling my tank. Its the most annoying thing ever. (really not that bad but I'm annoyed right now) Well I just want something that doesn't leak. Im sick of gurgling. Yes i am filling my tank right. Nothing is getting in the metal tube thingy. but yet there is still a crapload of juice in the head of the battery every time and there is gurgling. I end up having to blow through the tip and put a tissue in the back to get stuff out. I end up wasting like .2ml-.4ml of juice each top off. My other gripe is that i can't flip it upside-down or put it on its side. I want to be able to sit with it in my pocket and not leak. My Ecig is basically a 3.7v kanger off brand. looks like the end of an ego... I don't know for sure but i assume that its 510?...:glare:... What tank would make me a happier vapor? Easy to fill... No leaking... or gurgle. :2cool:

Need not ned* :grr:

Clearo's that don't leak? Not sure they make one. Several reasons they do leak, fluid dyamics and Bernoulli's Principle. StateO'Flux has a nice blog that explains it:

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...type-atomizers-new-vapists-how-they-work.html

I found that I could minimize the flooding, gurgling and leaking by fiddling with the clearo at the first sign of flooding, and thereby avoiding leaking, but due to pressure, materials, heat, vape technique and a dozen other issues, they will leak. The whole principle of the tanks is to work with a slow leak. The liquid slowly leaks into the atomizer chamber, and the air slowly leaks into the tank. When that balance is out of whack, i.e., atomization does not keep proper pace with wicking, you can have flooding/gurgling/eventual leaking OR dry/burnt hits.

Want a tank that doesn't leak? Get a decent carto tank. Never had one leak yet. Occasionally, you will get a drop on the battery pin. So, keep some Qtips and pipe cleaners handy to clean it up when you change tanks. Good luck and welcome to the forum. BTW, better vape with carto tanks too, imho. YMMV. Best to you!

That is a basic CE4 clearomizer. Cant think of anything more primitive than what you have. A good upgrade for cheap would be a Kanger EVOD.

Yep, Evod would work well for sure. Also, if you like the warmness of a top-coil design, try out an iClear 16. Very good vape and can be on it's side without leaks (at least in my experience).

A top coil clearomizer has the coil and wick located at the top of the clearomizer tank as it is closer to the mouthpiece it normally produces a warmer vape. Bottom coil clearomizers have the wick and coil located at the bottom of the tank. One of my favorite clearomizers is the Kanger T2 (top coil clearomizer), I very seldom have any trouble with gurgle or leaking.

Your inhalation technique could be the problem.

I end up having to blow through the tip and put a tissue in the back to get stuff out.
I'm not familiar with the CE4, but this would not be a good way to deal with gurgling in the kinds of tanks I use.

Its only immediately after I top it off. After i wipe everything down, Waist some juice then put everything back together there is no issue.

And yeah its not a good way but its the best way that i have found. Its just a cheap tank thats all.

Try an EVOD tank. That picture looks like a poor imitation of an iClear 16. I actually preferred how easy it was to fill the iClear 16 over my EVODs but the EVODs give me better flavor without having to swirl it around to keep the wicks wet. You're getting liquid down the center hole because your drip tip isn't seated correctly or there is something wrong with the plastic grommet just below the drip tip. Also, when you fill it, try putting a toothpick in the center hole to keep the liquid from getting liquid down it.

I've played around with all the C's and some leak some don't. As Wizard said, "it's hard to find any that don't," at least to some degree. They can leak if you turn em upside down, lol. I've read good things about the iClear 16's and Evods so you wouldn't be wrong to try some of those. Good Luck and Happy Vaping!

Well you posted something like this which is a CE4
CE4-Clearomizer-1-500x500.jpg

Here is an iClear16
iClear16-apart21.jpg

The difference in the 2 is the iClear16 the atomizer, the part with the wicks can be replaced, the whole tank can be disassembled for cleaning and such, the CE4 aka the Stardust only the tip/cap is removable for filling and was designed to be disposable, current versions of tanks the atomizer assembly is designed to be disposable, not the whole tank, both these tanks are called top coil, the coil assembly is at the top near the mouthpiece.

Now, a couple of other options, and someone brought up an older tank not mentioned much, the CE5 or Kanger had a copy called the T2, loved, loved the T2 also before moving to bottom coils

CE5

Kanger T2

On to a couple Bottom Coil Designs

Kanger Evod (Plastic Sheathed in Metal)

Kanger Mini Protank 2 version 2 (Glass and Stainless Steel Tank)
Protank-Mini-II-v2.jpg

In the bottom coils you can see the atomizer assembly attaches to the base and is an itty bitty little guy, the iClear, CE5, and T2 tank again small but the wicks are longer. Being you state you like to keep your device in a pocket, I'd seriously look at the one of the bottom coils if you like a cooler vape, got any liquids that have cinnamons, citrus, absynth flavor or licorice flavorings, look at a glass tank clearomizer like a Protank 2, Davide, Tatroe, or Hypertank (G50) or such as a lot of the types of liquids listed can melt, etch, and eventually crack a plastic tank.

This sounds like it could be an overfilling problem?

It says to fill it to 2ml and have never filled past 1.8... Then after cleaning out everything I'm at 1.6ml by the end of the process. I think its the rubber part that the wicks com out of it. mine moves when i put the tip back on and it sucks liquid into the tube,

Every time I fill up a clearomizer or whatever.....I always put a napkin on the top of the driptip and give it several good shakes just like you would a thermometer (if your old enough to remember those). Stuff comes out but after a few times and less juice comes out. Just screw it on and I bet this will help with your gurgling problem. I don't think evods or ProTanks like to get down real low, so I try to keep them full too. Hope this helps some. Good luck to ya and welcome to the forum. The people are so nice here to answer any and all questions and they are just always here for you no matter what. Glad you're here.:)
