Curious question that I have found nothing while "google"ing. What type of tape is it that surrounds most standard cartomizers? A lot of boge's have black tape and some prefilled cartos have different colored tapes for easy flavor access. Was interested in this because I wanted to find different colored tapes so I can have ways of identifying flavors.

I'm not positive, but I believe it's more along the lines of a labeling material than tape. I can peel it off of my cartos, but the adhesive seems to be stronger than tape. Bur on the other end of the spectrum, my father worked in a sign shop and made highway signs, eg. interstate signs, street signs, speed limits, etc. But the material they used had a much stronger adhesive that wouldn't peel off. Something in the middle ground, but I haven't found anything quite like it yet.

I will definitely try the freezer idea. I also sense an investment in clear cartos in the near future! The only thing about the duct tape, is if I remove the duct tape before boiling to clean the cartos, it seems the glue reside may mix into the polyfill stuffing of the carto. Probably wouldn't be a good idea to leave the duct tape on and throwing them into boiling water eh? I know, I know.... I should just trash the cartos, but then again, the boiling technique that many use does make a carto seem like new when refilling and vaping.

We use tape to put on our cartos to write the flavor on it. it's not very pretty but if it comes off so easily I just take it off which ever one I'm using at the time. Unless I'm at home I just keep in on. I think it's masking tape, maybe? It's like a cream color and about 3/4 of an inch thick. Leaves no residue at all.
