IAnd lastly *so far* The tattoo shop had a nice promotion going on. You give them 50 bucks, you get to pull a # out of a hat. Whatever that # corresponded with in their book of custom tattoos for the promo you got and afterwards its burned so no one else could ever get your one of a kind ink. (i was 1 number away from getting a male body part put on me, i got good luck)

Hey "Krispers" . . .

1st > Nice - Ink . . .:D

I have a few and they all have meaning for me. I got to know my tatoo artist by going in to get my tongue pierced about 9 years ago. I started to come in often and chat with him. He is now my closest friend and he owns his own tattoo/piercing studio here in Rochester. This is all his work, except the smiley face is an apprentice of his.

First one: Mischievous smiley face. I relate it to my personality. I am almost always happy and can sometimes be mischievous so I thought it fit the bill :)

Second one: Nautical star. I have been through a lot of trials and tribulations in my life. I feel that this tatoo represents me finding the right "path" or "direction".

IMAG0136.jpg

Third one: Dagger through rose. This one represents the pain, both physical and mental, I have experienced within my life. The dagger represents the pain and the rose my mind and body. The wings that are a part of the tatoo represent hope and guidance to propel me through the hard times. The dice represent how many different scenarios life may throw at you and how it's a "gamble" because you never know what you will be presented with. The crown on top the the handle represents how I will overcome, how I am the "king" of my life's direction.

Fourth one: Gypsy. I have seen numerous tattoos like this and was completely enamored by what I have seen. I chose this type of tattoo because I feel like people wear "masks" of how they want to be seen by others or how they want to be perceived. The veil represents how we try and control how we are perceived as individuals. The bleeding rose represents that ultimately we cannot hold it all in. Eventually it will "bleed" out and no matter how we portray ourselves, the truth is always revealed.

Fifth one: Yin/Yang. I feel that there is always a balance that must be obtained. That one must take the good with the bad. This is what allows one to grow both spiritually and physically. The tattoo represents that I welcome both good and bad and will make the best of the situation.

I enjoyed having to opportunity to show my body art and hope you all enjoy viewing them :) Rob.

Okay so that is a photo from the day after it was done. The colours and shading are still just as gorgeous. Tim McGrath @ 13 Roses = amazing.

Story: I'm a recovering ...... addict. As of now I've been clean for 1 year and 11 months. I got the tattoo on the one year anniversary of being clean. Kind of a reminder of what I did to myself and how I'll never go back there. EDIT: Really ECF you won't let me post the name of something that ruined my life for 3 years?! Bull

So yeah! That's my favourite tattoo on me. I have a few more as well. Need to get them touched up though.

Also, please excuse my illfitting pants & camerphone photo. o_O

I could be wrong but I believe it's supposed to be tattoos on your own body and the reasons behind why you have got them. I believe it's supposed to be a fun contest and one shouldn't search for tattoos just to post. Anybody can find pics to post up but it's one's own tattoos, and the reasons behind them, that will make this contest interesting. I'm just glad I had the opportunity to post my tattoos and the reasons why I got them :)

xoZoe - Congratulations on being nearly two years sober. I have a close family member struggling with addiction on and off and I know what you have gone through AND what it takes to get/remain clean. Even though I don't know you, I can honestly say I'm proud of you because I know what goes on behind the scenes to make it happen and it's no easy task. :) nice tattoo also. Keep on keepin on my friend :) Rob.

If my entries dont count thats fine but they are my tattoos as i worked really hard on them and the designs are fresh outta my pink head.. They are NOT just photos of googled images, they are mine and imo i put more work into them then the client getting them :)

yahoo search Phoenix Tattoo Studio Galesburg, IL or facebook Phoenix Tattoo Studio. Brandie Roberts.

My husband is a vaper and many of these are actually on him.

I, absolutely, meant no disrespect towards you. You are an excellent artist by the way :) Not saying that anyone has, but I was referring to anyone that would search for pics to post just to win a contest. I am not suggesting that anybody would as I think we are all respectable adults. It would be nice to keep this fun. Like I said I am glad to have the opportunity to post my tattoos and the reasons behind them. Not that I wouldn't enjoy winning a contest, but just being able to post them up is reward enough for me :)

heres a cool one that a coworker did on me for the book "American Tattoos". not quite something I would personally pick typically but my coworkers rock so I was happy to lend some skin :) Both of the chicks that I work with are amazing artists and its so much fun being in an all girl shop

American Tattoos - Doug Mitchel - Paperback (ISBN 9781929133970) - Buy Books, Music and Movies at Borders

The green doll on my forearm... I got this one to represent my husband Shane. He is my little pin cushion and is always there to lend some skin for new ideas and ALWAYS supports me. I am the luckiest wife in the world

The purple doll was done by me on my husband because he loves me lol
