Slow, do you have a meter, and did you test your batteries just to rule them out as the problem? What Mark said makes sense to me, possibly a loose wire or solder on the inside. It may be time to RMA it back to the shop since you have had the prior problem too.

Simple fixes like a re-solder or fixing a wire are $10.95+shipping, if the PCB is dead then it's $35.95+shipping. RMA form

Bovinia,

How goes it? It's been a long time. Things just won't settle down my end. How'd you make out through Hurricane Sandy? As you probably heard, NJ got hit hard. Now bracing for the nor'easter coming this way Wednesday :(

Anyways, to the point. My BP has finally died. Probably from me dropping it so much, first the end cap inside plate came apart; managed to screw that back in, but now the wire completely broke off the top cap, nothing for me to even play with to even try to fix myself (not that I would mind you). Anyways, I've gotta send it back in, I guess need to do the RMA. Question is where can I get a quote for rpr just based on the info contained herein?

Many thanks Bov for any insight you can offer.

Okay - this is weird. It's working again. I noticed that the dial was shifted way off to the side so nudged it back to center and everything came back. But get this - I have to have it cranked up all the way to get anything to the carto. I think something in the adjustment is loose or broken and I will definitely have to send it in, but if it is working again now at least it can't be the PCB. Thanks everyone for your help.

Hey Juanita! We did ok during the hurricane since we're just east of Hartford in central CT, not on the coast. I've been keeping track of the awful situation in NJ, NY, etc and have been praying for everyone. The Nor'easter is supposedly just mainly rain and 30mph winds for us, I sure hope it doesn't hurt the folks who are still suffering!

Read the post just above yours for the prices and the link to the RMA form. You'll need to print the form, fill it out and send it along with your sad BP to the address on the form. If it's just a broken wire, it's $10.95+shipping. I don't remember when you bought your BP...are you still inside of your 6 month warranty? If so, your only cost is shipping back to Notcigs. Just be sure you put your contact info on the RMA form so that Terri can call or email you if she needs to. You can pay for the repairs on the sales site now (if you are beyond your 6 mo. warranty) Simple repair - notcigs.com

Slow, the dial very well may have "jumped track." I used to tell folks how to fix that problem, but I've had a few who hammered the dial back into place a little too hard, so I'm a little reluctant to instruct you on the open forum  PM me if you think it's something you want to try, but you can damage the PCB if you aren't careful. Let me know what you decide, at least you are back to vaping for now.

Well damn. Stopped again. Same swan song as before - Lights and no fire, then no lights and dead. I am definitely going to send it in. I am afraid of trying to do anything to hurt it (did you say hammer?). I have a passthrough at home to get me through, but I have some travel coming up next week that is gonna KILL me. I dreamed last night that I was in a lab thinking up alternative juice delivery methods. Under the tongue wasn't bad, but soaking a bandage and making my own "patch" was a little disturbing.

By the way, when you shake the Buzz lightly, is it supposed to go tink-a tink-a?

If I thought it would get to you in time I could mail you a loaner BP. It ain't pretty but it works...when is your trip?

I have to spend the 15th out of town for sure - and will be scheduling more time when I am there, unless they decide to keep me overnight. I nearly had heart failure a while ago when the passthrough failed. Turns out I had yanked it out of the usb wall adapter. Whew!

I can't believe you have a loaner Buzz! I wanna grow up to be just like you!

That would be 4.5ish. I tinkered with it after I changed the top cap, and packed it up sitting at 4.4v according to my meter. The little bit of dial markings on it are not trustworthy so you may have to play with it some. The middle marking on it is more like around 4v. And don't forget that the dial works backwards from what you're used to, I forgot to add a note to remind you :)
