Sounds like a typical reaction to the body getting rid of toxins and such. A "quitter's symptom". When I started vaping and quit cigarettes, I got a a few sores on my gums for a week or so...forget how long now. Scared me I might be allergic to PG or something, but that wasn't the case. It was just part of the process of quitting. Went away pretty quick, really and I haven't had any more trouble since.

Hi Guys, i bought a eGo-C and started vaping since last month. Best thing ever invented but i have a problem after i switch to digital. My gum started bleeding every time i brush my teeth. i vape almost 2ml per day or more if im out for a drink. Anyone idea why or it is the liquid?

Bleeding gums is a sign of periodontal disease. Periodontal disease and cavities are known to be worsened by "dry mouth syndrome" , because dryness and lack of saliva flow promote bacterial growth. Hence, because both PG and VG are humectants (absorb water and remove it from your mouth and airways), your symptoms may be related to this effect. Keeping hydrated and/or chewing sugarless gum or sucking on lemon drops to promote saliva flow might help, besides the usual oral hygiene of brushing and flossing. If not, you should see a dentist.

I had the same problem for the first month or so when I started vaping; my gums were kinda sensitive and bleed sometimes when I brushed plus I got some small sores on the inside of my bottom lip.

Well it's a good thing I've got a steady chick (that I trust) or my first thought on the sores may have been the herps.

I now drink at least a case (24) of bottled water a week. That really helped the symptoms which I believe dehydration to be the root. But naturally if the symptoms persist I would continue to look into it.

Also be aware, if you're not hydrated a night of heavy vaping coupled with heavy drinking can lead to one hell of a hangover. found that one out the hard way.

Yup. Bleeding gums is a result of quitting smoking and it may also be a result of dehydration. Drink up and floss. If you don't floss already, this is probably why your gums are bleeding. In the wild, if we were still living as animals/apes like the earth designed us to be living, we'd be chewing into bone and hair and pure grains and grasses that would naturally toughen our gums for us. Because we do not eat these rough foods anymore, we need to brush our teeth and floss as well. Keep up with your dental hygiene from now on and you'll be good.
