You shouldn't spend all your money on APV's. (Even though I did and don't regret it a bit.)
I bought an Ego Twist a couple of months ago when I ordered an eRoll kit - and WOW I have to say that the ego twist is amazing. If you were thinking of getting one, don't hesitate. I am still a bit of a noob, but I have really enjoyed it.
I'm currently waiting for payday to dish out money for my next set-up... Would you guys say that the eGo CE4 Plus V2 is no good, either? Newbie here, too.

There are a LOT and I mean a LOT of Ego clones and knock offs, quality control is all over the board with both the batteries and tank/atty systems, generally the people who like them have either gotten lucky with a good knock off or bought genuine Joye products, so the Ego C delivery system isn't in itself flawed, it's just not for everyone.
I found it had a bit of an airy draw, and wasn't giving me the warm vape that I prefer. There are a lot of people who like them for those very reasons. To each his own I say.

You'll find a lot of viewers are against CE4's. I am one of them. As I said, I have a few- and they are in my backup box. I don't see the point when a KT3 is the same price and work better. I love the KT3M's. Different colors for different juices.
You seem very against the eGo-C. If you're referring to the eGo-C tank system, I'd agree that it's not the best.
However, the eGo batteries themselves are very reliable and affordable. A lot of vapers start on eGo's, I'd recommend them.
Thank you! I'm on the verge of buying an ego-C to start my vaping experience and this thread was giving me nightmares. But I'll use it to get used to vaping and then look to experiment with the tank system.
Just out of interest, as another UK member, where do you usually get your stuff from? I was looking to get the starter kit directly from Joyetech but have no idea about all the different UK websites for accessories and liquids.

If that's a little pricey for you, they also sell eGo-C batteries alone, then you can add a charger and whatever else you want for your battery.
The tank system isn't the best, but it's not the worst either. I started on the tank system and enjoyed it, so it's definitely a good place to go if you're just starting.

Would it be fair to say that devices are dependent what kind of liquid they are filled with. One might work well with pg when it blows with vg and vice versa. So in your experience what devices work worst with what liquids ?. Maybe a 50- 50 liquid would work on most. But what about 100% liquids ?. What experiences have you had ?
I realise that a lot of people use varying ratios and not 100% liquids. Are devices made for specific liquids like 50-50 and just don't perform well with 100% liquids ?. A user may well have to adjust their liquids to work in their devices when really they don't want to have to do that. Some will say a device doesn't work too well and others say their device works just fine.
Buying a new device should include being told, in the description, that this certain device works best with a "specific" liquid ratio. Rather than having to take "pot luck" with whatever you buy. Some people will only use a certain liquid and so some devices don't perform well. When a manufacturer produces a new device how do they go about testing it with different ratios of liquid ?. Or don't they even bother ?.

My advice...stay away from anything vape related that's first generation as there's ALWAYS bugs to be worked out.
