A provari meets all of your requirements other than the "more than one button" thing. I highly recommend it.
I thought I'd always prefer tube shaped, but I find I'm loving the box shape of my MVP 2's. They stay standing upright where I put them, and they won't roll off a table when I put them on their sides. These things are essential for me when I'm home with the kids. If they rolled each time one ran into, or bumped into a table, I'd have a lot of broken PV's by now. I got my first MVP solely because it had all the other features I want for a price I couldn't walk away from. I'm glad I got it, because otherwise I'd have never considered the box shape I find essential now.

The VTR is great. I love mine. But I also like mods too, tubes and well variety.
Logically, I know the box shaped mods are good, but I think they're ugly, so I don't want one. As for the Provari, having only 1 button makes navigating menus a pain in the rear.
I use round eGos now. As long as I set it down gently, the fire button acts as a roll stop. I have dropped them, numerous times, and have yet to break one. Maybe I should have added durable to my list of requirements.
You may wanna try the Vamo. They're fairly inexpensive and people who own them seem to like them. The Lava Tube also should fit the bill.
i second the provari recommendation.
as for the single button making it a pain in the .... to navigate, i rarely have to navigate through the menu once i have it set to what i want. its a great VV mod with superior quality.

Well the Vamo is a 22mm mod whereas the Squape is a 22.7 topper. But it does have 2 button navigation. The Provari is a 22.7mm diameter mod but only has the 1 button navigation as you already know. Personally if it were me I would go for the Provari over the Vamo for quality alone (not to mention I think the bigger topper on the Vamo might look dumb & you said you didn't want it to look stupid lol). If you also get a beauty ring for the Provari it would give it a very clean look & i think you'd probably get over it not having 2 buttons after using it for a short bit.

the one button navigation really is not difficult at all. and a very limiting factor in choice. it just sounds like you're cheating yourself out of a great device.
i have an mvp 2.0 and a sigelei zmax v3. both are incredible in their own ways, function well, no problems at all with either of them. i get exactly what i want in vape gear from both.

I was skeptical of the box mod look myself but have fallin' in love with the mvp. Perhaps you should go to a shop and hold one and check out its features in person. It's the best value you'll find compared to what others are suggesting you look into, and it has more then one button, costs $150 less and has VV..

Having a local shop would make this so much easier. Alas, there isn't one near me.

I went with a VTR but, myself, lean more... oh, "mech look"? Of the tubulars, if I went that way, it was going to be either a "gun metal" Vamo or, more likely, an eVic. Always thought the eVics looked really slick and I think the display is OLED. eVics have a real Star Trek thing going.

lol that's why I posted the pic. I think I have an idea of what you're hoping for & I was pretty sure the above pic wasn't it lol. I have nothing bad to say about that device. But I would not use it with a big topper either.
The Squape is not really a very common diameter topper so there is a bit of a limitation as far as what would look right with it. There are devices that WOULD look nice with it & have 2 buttons but the ones I can think of are rather spendy (higher than Provari) &/or they are not tube mods.
Do you have a price range you'd like to stay in? That might make it easier for other posters to offer suggestions.
